Abigail was able to calm down David who was on his way to avenge Nabal because of his foolishness. She was able to lower his anger towards Nabal. He deserved severe punishment, but it was not David's duty to punish Nabal because kutsiva ndokwaMwari. Yes you were wounded by Nabal, but leave it to the Lord. Don't take the case into your own hands. The world is hurt and wounded, but the role of the church is to go between God and the world and reunite them. Abigail knowing that David was angry with Nabal's words and actions, she hasted and went to meet him in the wilderness and ask for forgiveness. When she met him, she fell down on David's feet and bowed down to the ground. She started pleading for her husband. This was an act of worship. She cried for the sins of her husband. I just want to encourage someone to pray on behalf of your family, church and nation for not acknowledging what Christ did on the cross.
