Elder Gérald Caussé is the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was called and ordained on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

Apostles are special witnesses of the name of Christ throughout the world. They also engage in significant administrative responsibilities, overseeing the operation and development of a global Church. The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is the second-highest presiding body in the government of the Church. They serve under the direction of the First Presidency, which includes the Church President and two counselors.

These new missions will help support the growing number of missionaries and members across the region:

🇲🇿 Mozambique Nampula Mission
🇿🇼 Zimbabwe Harare West Mission
🇿🇦 South Africa East London Mission

This historic growth reflects the faith and dedication of members and missionaries who continue to share the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout Africa.

And i want to say this mission has helped me to know the purpose of life.As lds members its our job to spread the gospel until everyone knows about it .And amwe ma members anofunga kuti ibasa remamissionarys ku preacher the gospel but thats not true all lds members are missionaries chngosiyana ndechekuti there are full-time missionaries and non full-time missionaries which are members .If you labor all your days and bring one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy, D&C 18:15 i love this scripture a lot ,we are promised joy if we bring souls unto christ .And to those who are facing trials and tribulation don't lose hope its part of life because we are hear on earth to learn and progress trials and tribulation are all part of learning so that we will progress spiritually in this life and learn to make good decisions of our own because we have agency to do soo , and remember the Covenants you made during baptism, to be a witness of jesus christ and to mourn with those that are mourning, and remember also that the Covenants that we make its like yoking ourselves unto christ which means that in our trials and tribulation jesus christ will be with us he will support us .Alma 26:12 teaches us that we are weak so we don't need to boast of ourselves but boast of God because for in his strength we can do anything. This is what I wanted to say .I hope this message inokuwanayi murivatano😁
