1st Avenue Church of Christ-Gwanda A Church's health is measured by its sending capacity, not its seating capacity. We are a church of Christ in the most biblical way possible.

Being Christians individually, together, we are a church. We are baptized believers, raised to walk in “newness of life” (Romans 6:3-4) through faith in God’s work of salvation through Christ (Colossians 2:12). We are not perfect but rather forgiven (Romans 3:23-24; I John 1:8-9). We are a diverse group of Christians of varying ages and from different backgrounds, income levels, and education.

Lords Day Reflections | Sunday 24 May 2026

We had the privilege to serve our Lord at the 1st Avenue Church of Christ in Gwanda on Sunday, 24 May 2026. We were greatly blessed by a powerful sermon on “The Mission of the Church,” which encouraged and strengthened our faith and commitment to God’s work.

To God be all the glory.

Today, May 10, 2026, we were grateful for the opportunity to worship and serve the Lord at 1st Avenue Church of Christ-Gwanda.

We were blessed with an inspiring message titled, “God’s Gift of Motherhood.” Bible classes for all age groups were conducted successfully.

May 3, 2026 – Lord’s Day Worship Service at 1st Avenue Church of Christ, Gwanda.

We were blessed to gather in worship and share in a powerful lesson titled “New Life in Christ” from 2 Corinthians 5:17. A reminder that in Christ, the old has gone and the new has come.

With great joy, we witnessed one soul repent and be baptized, beginning a new journey in Christ.
