Yesterday we also joyfully celebrated the birthday of Father Claudious Chitauro OFM Cap. We thank God for the gift of his life, priesthood, and dedicated service to the Church.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.” — Numbers 6:24-25

May God continue to bless him with good health, wisdom, joy, and many more fruitful years in His vineyard. Happy Birthday, Father!

We celebrated Mother’s Day in style as we honoured and appreciated the amazing mothers in our parish/community. Thank you for your love, sacrifices, strength, and endless prayers that continue to shape families and inspire us all.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother figures. May God continue to bless and strengthen you always.

We congratulate the three St Joseph men who were officially inducted into the guild yesterday. May St Joseph, the humble and faithful protector of the Holy Family, guide and strengthen them as they continue to serve God and the Church with dedication, faith, and humility.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.” — Colossians 3:23

May God bless them abundantly in this new journey of service.

On Easter Sunday, the joy continued. During Mass, we celebrated the baptism of 20 infants, welcoming them into the family of God. What a perfect way to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, surrounded by the innocence and promise of new life.

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." - Mark 10:14. These precious infants, clothed in Christ, are now part of God's forever family.

We rejoice with their families, praying these little ones grow in faith, love, and wisdom. The waters of baptism washed them clean, and they are now called children of God. Let's support them on their faith journey.

He is risen, indeed, Alleluia.

Easter Vigil was a night to remember! We gathered in darkness, waiting for the light of Christ to shine through. The church transformed into a sea of white and glitter, radiant with joy. We celebrated the resurrection of our Saviour, reminded that 'He is risen, indeed!'

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17.

This verse echoed in our hearts as we witnessed 20 catechumens receive the sacrament of baptism, 10 received Holy Communion for the first time, and 1 soul was received into the Catholic Church from Lutheran. Welcome home!

The catechumens, clothed in white, symbolized purity and new life in Christ. Lit candles illuminated the darkness, reminding us that Christ's light guides us always.

We're grateful for this community and the gift of new life in Christ.

After the Stations of the Cross, the youths beautifully presented the Passion Play, bringing to life the suffering and sacrifice of Christ.

Through their dedication and performance, we were able to reflect more deeply on His journey to the cross and the meaning of His love for us.

“Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering.” — Isaiah 53:4

May their witness continue to inspire us to live out our faith with courage and devotion.

Yesterday, as a parish, we journeyed together praying the Stations of the Cross, walking in faith and reflection. It was a moment of unity, as we carried our intentions, struggles, and prayers along the way.

With each station, we were reminded of Christ’s suffering, His endurance, and the depth of His love for us. It gave us time to pause, to reflect, and to truly connect with the meaning of Good Friday.

“By His wounds we are healed.” — Isaiah 53:5

May this journey remain in our hearts and continue to strengthen our faith beyond this day.

Yesterday was a day of joy and unity! Our Parish joined forces with the Methodist church for a powerful Palm Sunday procession, commemorating Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. We took to the streets, echoing the crowds of old with shouts of 'Hosanna!' and waves of palm branches.

It was a beautiful display of ecumenical love and cooperation, showcasing the power of unity in Christ. The energy was palpable as we walked, prayed, and celebrated together, reminding us that we're stronger together.

"'Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" - Luke 19:38
These words echoed in our hearts as we reflected on Jesus' humility and kingship. Thanks to all who joined, making it a day to remember.

It was a beautiful moment of worship, fellowship, and reflection as we begin the sacred journey of Holy Week.

May this Holy Week draw us closer to God, reminding us of His love, sacrifice, and the hope we have in Him.
