*UNITY IN ACTION: ZVAPUPU YOUTH CELEBRATE COMPLETION OF THE FIRST TOILET BLOCK AT JERUSALEM*
The spirit of unity, sacrifice, and commitment has been powerfully demonstrated by the Zvapupu ZvaJesu Apostolic Church (ZZAC) youth through the successful completion of the first toilet block at Jerusalem—marking a major milestone in a youth-led development initiative.
In a message shared in the ZZAC International Youth WhatsApp Group, the International Youth Chairperson, Mr Marata, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the youth and all individuals who contributed to the Toilet Blocks Project. He explained that the project was conceived during the 7 Days Conference 2025, on Thursday, 28 August 2025, when the youth collectively resolved to initiate a sanitation project that would benefit the Church at large.
From its inception, the project attracted overwhelming support in the form of ideas, physical labour, building materials, transport, and financial assistance. This collective effort stands as a strong testimony of what can be achieved when young people unite for a common purpose.
Mr Marata further highlighted that since Sunday, teams have been actively stationed at Jerusalem, working tirelessly on the project. The completion of the first toilet block (Men’s Block) represents a significant achievement and lays a firm foundation for the continuation of the remaining blocks.
Special appreciation was extended to those whose dedication and commitment played a critical role in the success of the project:
Mr Chihwaya for providing consistent transport support from the onset of the project.
Lopech Contractors for their professional input and technical support.
Team Chivhu, represented by Mr Dexter Tavengwa and Mr Ano Makamure, for their hands-on involvement and unwavering support.
Mr Mukozho, a skilled carpenter from Midlands, for his workmanship and dedication.
The Development Department, under the leadership of Mr Taruvinga, for steering and supervising the project with consistency and commitment.
In addition, a phone conversation was held with the Chairman of the Development Committee, Mr A. Taruvinga, who also expressed his appreciation to the youth and the church at large for their unity, perseverance, and sacrifice. During the call, he confirmed that construction of the toilet facilities officially began on Tuesday, 9 December 2025. Since then, work has been ongoing without interruption throughout December and January, including during the Fasting Days, and has continued steadily into February.
In closing, Mr Marata commended the Zvapupu Youth for choosing unity, service, and sacrifice, emphasizing that such initiatives not only improve church infrastructure but also strengthen spiritual bonds and demonstrate faith through action.
The completion of this first block stands as clear evidence that when the youth unite with purpose and dedication, meaningful and lasting development is achievable for the benefit of the Church and future generations.
