VERSE
Isaiah 42:8-9 (KJV) I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

INSPIRATION
God is a jealous god. He does not want to us to give our affection to anything of the world. As the creator of the universe, He knows all things as He created all things. Therefore, he deserves all our praise. He knows what has passed and what is yet to come.

PRAYER
Dear God, forgive for the times when I have turned away from you and idolized the things of this world. You are the only one who deserves my worship. Forgive me. Thank you for extending your mercy. Thank you for continuing to do new things, O Lord. I place my trust in you. In Jesus' name, amen.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

INSPIRATION
So much culture has been based on the battle between good and evil. With our busy lives, it is sometimes difficult to even take our minds off of what is happening to us and think about the bigger picture. There is and always has been a holy war going on, a battle between good and evil, and a textbook that explains how to equip ourselves for the battle. Let's take up arms and protect ourselves.

PRAYER
God, You are my rock, my shield, and the horn of my salvation; my high tower, and my refuge, my savior; You savest me from violence. Help me understand the difference between good and bad, almighty God. With patience and wisdom, I wish to aid You in the battle between light and dark, one that I am unwilling to lose. All of this I ask in Your honor. Amen.

DEVOTION
In times of fear and uncertainty, God's promise to Joshua is also for us: "I will never leave you nor forsake you." As I read my morning devotions, I was reminded of this truth. It gave me strength and courage to face the unknown. I was reminded that God is watching over me and that I can rest in His safety. He will never abandon me. So, I can relax and do what I must, knowing I'm not alone.

PRAYER
Lord, help us to remember that you are always with us, even in these difficult times. Take away our fear and replace it with faith in you. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

DEVOTION
During Lent, let us turn to God for protection. We can't rely on our own strength and abilities to keep us safe. We must trust in God's power and grace to guard us. The Bible reminds us that even the most vigilant can stumble, so let us put our faith in God. In these uncertain times, trusting in God is the best way to ensure our safety.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I am so grateful for all You have done in my life. You have kept me safe and prevented the worst from happening. I trust that You will always shield me from evil and anything that could cause me harm. Please guide me to make wise decisions so I can stay out of harm's way. Amen.
