*Just Obey*

*2nd Corinthians 2:14*
*Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.*

From the four Gospels to the Epistles, you will find the word preach used more than 60 times. The reason for that is because the gospel is for telling just like a newscaster. That gospel has power to save.

People use so many techniques today- Concerts, some others, drama. It is as an insult to the Gospel to do so.

The gospel should be preached, not dramatized.

• Do you know how to pass information around?
• Do you know how to tell someone what another did?

Same way you preach the Gospel, you just say what someone say or did. You just tell people, sometimes one on one. This news will produce salvation to anyone who believes it.

Some might say, “I want to wait until I am solid.” God doesn’t use a man who is a know-all.

1st Corinthians 2:2
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
Vs 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
Vs 4 And my speech and my preaching [was] not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
Vs 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

This gospel doesn’t have a special way of presentation.
Observe what he (Apostle Paul) said, “I determined… “ That means you must make a decision.

The gospel is “ Jesus Christ crucified.”
Using any other means in trying to share the Gospel may result in having false conversions. You don’t have to use make-believe to preach the gospel.

The gospel needs to be preached. Your lifestyle is not what saved you, what saves people is the message about Jesus. It is the testimony in the message that saves people.

The testimony of Jesus, the spotless Lamb of God that saves, not any other. That testimony must be heard! Preach it.

*The Gospel of Christ.*

2nd Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
Vs15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Vs 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

The word gospel simply means good news. Many do not know what the gospel is. If you back up to vs. 8-14 of Mark, you will observe their conversation.

What was the good news there? He just told them he rose from the dead, he just told them he is triumphant over the devil, he told them all authority is given to him and he said go and preach the good news to every creature, so what could that Good news be?

The good news is what he has just told them. What he has done.
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The Gospel of Christ. So the good news is the good news about Christ.

‘... for it is the power of God to everyone that believes’ means it has inherent power. The gospel does not need your assistance, the gospel does not become more powerful when you pray, the gospel does not become more powerful based on how you preach it.

He said the gospel is the power to everyone that believe
What power? The gospel has the righteousness of God.

The just shall live by faith, how? That means by believing the Gospel, you become righteous. So the gospel has the power to make a sinner a righteous man.

How? – by faith, by believing.
Faith in the Gospel of Christ makes a sinner righteous.
The gospel is not to share your notorious experiences from the past.
The good news is about Jesus.
1st Corinthians 15:1
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
Vs 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
Vs 3
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
Vs 4
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

So the gospel is about Jesus’ death , burial and resurrection for humanity.

Acts 20:24
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

It’s also called the Gospel of the grace of God.

Romans 16:25
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

The Gospel that Paul preached is the revelation of Jesus, the preaching of Jesus.

1st Timothy 1:11
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

It is called the gospel of Christ
The gospel therefore is news, that is, to share news about what Christ has done.

What news?
Notice that when you hear a piece of news repeatedly e.g, on CNN you get bored. However, to the person who is hearing it for the first time, it is news to him. You are bored at it because you are not telling it to someone.

What you know about Jesus is still news to many people.
• Do you believe you are saved?

• Do you believe you became a Christian by believing the gospel?

• Do you believe you are saved by the gospel

• Do you believe you have been saved since you believed?

• Do you believe the gospel has changed your life forever?

• Do you believe what happened to you can happen to someone else?• Do you believe what happened to you should happen to someone else?

It can happen because it should happen
It should happen because it can happen.
So if the gospel has changed my life, it should change another person’s life.

Share the news about Christ.
You must avoid sharing anything outside the gospel of Jesus because the Holy Spirit will only testify of Jesus and since the Holy Spirit wants to convince men in salvation, he will only testify of Jesus and that is the only way men can be saved

1st Corinthians 2:1-4 Paul did what you can call the soul winner’s culture

Paul says we must not reduce the message to oratorical prowess, how well you can speak it and how well you can package it. Let us preach the gospel, the gospel was packaged in three days- the death of Jesus, the burial of Jesus and the resurrection of Jesus and that is enough to save any man.

The entire event was in a message, if that message goes into the heart of anyone, he will be saved

So the gospel is in few words.

*Confession*- the Gospel is about Jesus, not about me, Faith in the Gospel of Christ makes a man righteous. I believe only the Gospel of Christ can save, I have the responsibility to share the news about Christ.

HOW TO SHARE YOUR FAITH (4)

THE GOSPEL IS FOR ALL NATIONS

2nd Corinthians 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

We manifest the savour of his knowledge in every place.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

The phrase, ‘all nations’ is not talking about all the countries of the world.

“All nations” in the scriptures is a relative term used for both Israel (the circumcised) and the Gentiles (Uncircumcised).

Gentiles refer to non-Jews. In simple terms, all nations refer to Jews and Gentiles. Nation is the word used for groups. There are only two groups- Jews and Gentiles.

This is consistent with the following verses of the scriptures

1st Corinthians 12:13,
Romans 1:16,
Galatians 3:8,14.

All nations should be Jews and gentiles.

Mark 16:15 ... all the world...

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The uttermost parts of the earth was to let the Jews know that the gospel is for everybody.

It took a while for those people to preach to non-Jews. From Acts 1 to Acts 10, they only preached the gospel to Jews. Paul’s arrival on the scene brought to the fore that the gospel is for all nations. That is one of the reasons he was accused in Act 22.

The gospel is for everybody.

Jesus just rose from the dead and told the people he died for to go and preach the gospel of what he has done. Preach it to every nation, to everybody. Anyone who has received the gospel has received a responsibility.

CONFESSION:
I believe the gospel is for everybody. I have received the responsibility to preach the Gospel to all nations. I believe that everybody has a right to hear the Gospel.

29/08/2026

Time and time again God gives us men after his own heart for the purpose of knowledge and growth. We have in our time a man sent for the reintroduction of Jesus to our generation. One man said Yes and then 13-14 years later men and women in the body of Christ have said Yes to the mandate. Follow me even as I, am a follower of Christ. Paul said these words because he knew whom he was following and we have seen and tasted of the living Christ Abel Damina is following and we thus follow.
Different generations speak of EW Kenyon, Smith Wigglesworth, Kenneth E Hagin and those who served under these great men of God expressed their gratefulness to God. We are among those men who God in our generation awarded the opportunity to serve with his servant. My name is Means Ngwenya born in Gwanda Town and as I write this message I am staying in Bulawayo. I am and I was among those men in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe who in my generation was chosen of the Father to serve under the ministry of Dr Abel Damina (Power City International). This man is and was my father in the Lord and I am grateful to God to have served in the gospel of Jesus Christ under him.

*HOW TO SHARE YOUR FAITH (3)*

*Baptism*

*Mark 16:15*
*And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Vs 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.*

Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Vs 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

He said to go into to all the world and preach what he has done, not what they have done. They are also not to preach what people are doing.

….He that believes and is baptized shall be saved, he that believes not is condemned.

Notice he did not say condemn people so that they can believe. It is when people do not believe that they are condemned.

The gospel is about what Jesus did in three days and three nights, so the gospel is not someone’s story. The gospel is Jesus’ story told to us by the Holy spirit.

In Matthew 28:18-19 as quoted above, Jesus did not make the statement, “in the name of the father and of the son and the Holy ghost.”

Why?
1. This statement does not exist anywhere else in the bible, that is, it has no corroboration,
2. He said all authority has been given to me. Not the name of the father, son or holy ghost,

How do we know?
Mark 16:17
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Luke 24:47
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

John 20:31
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

There is just one name; the name of Jesus.
Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

They call upon the name of Jesus Christ, he did not say the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost.

The name of Jesus Christ is the name given for men to be saved.
Philippians 2:9
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
..God has highly exalted him….
Again the word baptism does not mean water. Baptism simply means to be immersed into. To be incorporated into.

1Corinthians 10:1
Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
Vs 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

Moses is not a sea.

Moses here is the law, he doesn’t mention baptize with water in this context.

Acts 1:5
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Baptize with water shows that baptism doesn’t have to do with water. Jesus must have been referring to the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

1st Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Hear Paul also.

Ephesians 4:5
One Lord, one faith, one baptism, That one baptism is baptism into Christ.

That phrase, “in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost” was a later addition into the text of scriptures. That statement is not consistent with the scriptures, we are baptized in the authority of Jesus and that is the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

*Confession* – My faith is in the Gospel of Christ, I am a product of what Christ has done, I have been baptized in the authority of Jesus., I am in the name of Jesus.

*HOW TO SHARE YOUR FAITH (1)*

*Salvation is not your own work but the work of God.*

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

When you are born again one of the greatest discoveries you can make is to realize that others can receive what you have, through you.

2nd Corinthians 2:14
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
Vs15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

The phrase, ‘triumph in Christ’ is an old word that means trophy of victory or better still, a proof of victory.

He causes us to triumph, that is, he leads us in his triumphant train.
Just like when someone wins a war and now demonstrates his victory in a victory parade.

We are the demonstration of the victory of Jesus Christ.

*WHAT VICTORY?*
Hebrews 2:14
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Colossians 2:15
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Observe that Jesus did not fight the devil to collect authority from him. The authority referred to in Hebrews 2:14 is that of sin and death.

So we have victory in Christ. The scriptures are full of the truth of our victory in Christ.

1st Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

1st John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

It is not a victory that is as a result of you fighting but a victory given to you based on your identification in Christ.

Ephesians 1:17
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Vs 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Vs 19 And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Vs 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places, ]
Vs 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
Vs 22 And hath put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church,
Vs 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

He lets you know that Jesus’ victory when he rose from the dead was given to his body- the church.

So the believer is the trophy of Christ victory.

The triumphant train is where you show the proof of your victory, we are not just saying it, we truly are are the proofs of Christ’s victory.

*Confession:* I have believed, I am the demonstration of the victory of Jesus Christ, I am the proof of Christ’s victory.
