Today, our parish family came together to celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, giving thanks for the precious gift of the Holy Eucharist, the Body and Blood of Christ.

As a sign of our faith and devotion, we processed around the church grounds with the Blessed Sacrament, stopping at different stations where our various parish associations led prayers and petitions for different intentions, entrusting our families, our community, the Church, and the world to God’s loving care.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this beautiful celebration a true witness of our unity in Christ. May the Lord in the Holy Eucharist continue to strengthen and guide us all.

“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.” — John 6:56

This year’s Africa Day celebrations were made even more beautiful as everyone came dressed in colourful, vibrant, and amazing African attire, truly showcasing the richness and beauty of our African culture. 🌍❤️

Our Youths and Young Adults also showed incredible dedication in preparing the various dishes served today, with preparations starting on Saturday and continuing into Sunday morning in a wonderful spirit of unity, service, and community.

A special thank you to everyone who assisted with the preparations and to all those who pledged food, ingredients, and other items that helped make the celebration possible. Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated. 🙏🏾

On this Pentecost Sunday, we are reminded of the powerful moment when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples, filling them with courage, faith, and unity as the Church began its mission to the world. 🕊️🔥

As we also celebrated Africa Day, our parish was beautifully united in prayer through petitions proclaimed in various African languages such as Swahili, Sotho, Kalanga, Nyanja to name a few, reflecting the richness of our cultures and the diversity that strengthens us as one family in Christ.

Today, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the new members of the St Joseph’s Men Association who were officially inducted, as well as to the existing members who renewed their vows and commitment to the association. May God continue to guide and strengthen them in their mission of faith, service, and brotherhood.

We would also like to offer special congratulations to our Parish Priest, Father Morris, who celebrated the 17th anniversary of his priestly ordination. We thank him for his unwavering dedication, service, and commitment to evangelisation, and we pray that the Lord continues to bless and sustain him in his vocation.

In the same spirit of celebration, we also congratulate our other Parish Priest, Father Thomas, on his recent birthday. May God grant him many more years filled with good health, joy, wisdom, and abundant blessings.

Finally, we would like to wish Brothers Alfred, Edwin, and Munashe God’s richest blessings as they prepare to travel to Jamaica to continue their religious studies. We sincerely thank them for journeying with us over the past few years and for their selfless service and dedication to our parish community, St James Parish, and the Mustard Seed Community. May the Holy Spirit guide them in this next chapter of their formation and vocation.

Let us gather as one family to honor the traditions, culture, and values that unite us as God’s people. All are invited.

From darkness into light.
On Saturday evening, we began in silence as the fire was lit and the Paschal Candle was raised, symbolizing Christ our Light.
Through the Liturgy of the Word, we journeyed through salvation history, leading us to the joy of the Resurrection.

In a special way, we congratulate those who received the sacrament of Baptism on this holy night.

Today we gathered in solemn remembrance of the Passion of Christ.
On this sacred day, we reflect on His sacrifice, His love, and the gift of salvation given to us all.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Youths and the MCAs for their moving portrayal of the Passion—thank you for helping us enter more deeply into this sacred moment.
