Topic: Favour
It is said that at most favour must be entreated, triggered or provoked! - Psalm 45:12
As believers we can only find favour from the Lord through following the teachings of the Bible
1.Living a kingdom priority lifestyle.
a)"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you"(Mat 6:33)
b)Job 36:11"If they hearken and serve him they complete their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness"
2. Practicing the word
(a)"Good sense wins favour but the way of the faithless is their ruin"( Pro 13:15)
(b)"And if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments which I command you this day the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth".(Deut 28:1-22)
c)"His mother said to the servants do whatever he tells you".(Jon 2:5)
3. Prayer and Fasting
a) "Esther told them to reply to Mor'decai ,Go and gather all the Jews to be found in Susa and hold a fast on my behalf and neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day . I and my maids will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the King , though it is against the law and if I perish , I perish ."(Esther 4:16-17), ( Esth 5:1-3)
b)" Jabez called on the God of Israel , saying , " Oh Lord that thou wouldn't bless me and enlarge my border and that thy hand might be wth me and that thou wouldst keep m from harm so that it might not hurt me!" And God granted what he asked. (1 Chr 4:10)
4. A thanksgiving, praise and worship lifestyle
a)" Let the peoples praise thee , O God ; let all the peoples praise thee!
The earth has yielded it's increase God , our God has blessed us
God has blessed us; let all the ends of the Earth fear him!".(Ps 67:5-7)
b)"He who brings thanksgiving as his sacrifice honours me; to him who orders his way aright I will show the salvation of God!"(Ps 50:23)
c) Acts 16:25-26
5.Power of the Holy Ghost
" And when they had prayed the place in which they were gathered together was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God wth boldness".( Acts 4:31).
In conclusion they are many biblical teachings which help us t attain our favour from the Lord we just have to practice them nd we will b rejocing nd testifying on how great the Lord we serve is. Just like the kind of favour that made Joseph an heir in a house where he was only a slave boy , the favour that made him an official in the prison where he was an inmate. ( Gen 39:5)
May you find favour from the Lord and stay blessed in Jesus name.Amen
