Nehemiah 9:2 And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.
People that are a sign of where you are not going.
The people that are in your life are a statement and a sign of where you are going and where you are not going. There are things God will never do with you or for you or to you as long as you are with certain people. There are things that will never be found together in one place, the moment you see the other you will know the other won't be found near.
It's like that in the spirit. The law of attraction works in the spirit. You are what you attract. The devil does not attract Angels or the Holy host. And you can't find Satan and God in the same person. The moment you see Satan inside its automatic that God is outside.
So, here these people had to get rid of what had caused them not to have Godly things. The presence of these strange women was a sign of what God was never going to do for them nomatter how much they pray or fast. Besides prayer, fasting and repentance there is also deliverance through separation. There are times people need deliverance from people so that God can do something.
It's easy to receive from God but very difficult to keep things from God. It's easy to receive money but keeping it is an issue. There are things that money can not live with. As long as those things are there with you money won't be with you nomatter how much you pray or fast.
You have to create an environment that attracts God and his things to come and rest with you and in you. There is something chasing something you need. There is a strange woman in your life who is making your God given things uncomfortable.
It may be sin, a weakness, an addiction, a habit, lifestyle or a person.
