IN THE wake of rising sexual violence cases against minors, Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) churches in the Copperbelt Province have been implored to reserve 15 minutes of Sabbath to speak against the vice.

The SDA Copperbelt Zambia Conference (CZC) is also concerned about the increase in gender-based violence cases in communities.

CZC president Chifumbe Kapenya said the conference is committed to zero tolerance of physical, emotional, spiritual and sexual abuse in line with policies of the church.

Pastor Kapenya said SDA legislation on such vices is clear and prompts the church to act and deal with abuse as indicated in the 2025-2030 strategic plan.

The church wishes to thank everyone involved, for the successful launch of the building project last Sabbath as we aim to complete the Ablution Block for the church and later construction of a perimeter wall fence.

Consequently, the church is now extending the request for support towards this project to everyone else as the project is a mammoth task that requires everybody's involvement to implement it.
