Global Adventurer Day celebrations was in style because it was more than the event itself when the Adventures lead by their leader Mitonga and the Deputy Director Emmanuel Mwape toured to visit and have fun with the Veteran and prominent figure of Kimasala Main SDA church and Solwezi at large Elder Shonga .

The visit was accompanied by the District Youth chairperson MG Moffat Brilliant Katontoka Jnr commonly known as MG Mojo .
Where Musonda kapasa gave the word of encouragement while Lushomo Mabinga the might preacher gave a powerful prayer together with David kitongo .
The elder was so delighted to have the youths at his residence with so much Joy he gave the background of the kimasala main church and encouraged the adventures to work for God at Home at school and at play .

We’re the might kimasala adventures walking with Jesus was our theme for this year globally.

Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it."

Meaning in context:
"Train up" – The Hebrew word means to dedicate, to train by consistent practice. It’s about intentional, hands-on guidance from early years, not just giving instructions.
"In the way he should go" – The path God intends for that child. It includes character, faith, habits, and purpose. It’s not about forcing your own dreams on them, but guiding them toward God’s design.
"When he is old he will not depart" – Early training shapes the direction of life. It doesn’t guarantee a perfect outcome, but it creates a foundation that tends to last.

Why it matters:
This verse is the foundation for Christian parenting and education. Ellen G. White used it heavily in Education and Child Guidance to argue that the home is the first school. The habits, values, and knowledge of God taught in childhood stick because they shape the mind and heart while they’re still forming.

Happy Global adventures Day 26

Your child must look like this tomorrow
See you there

DORCAS WORKER DIES AT CAMP IN KABWE

By Nathan Muyambango

A 69-year-old Seventh-day Adventist Dorcas worker, Emeria Kakombo, has died after a tragic road accident during a church gathering in Kabwe. She passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, while attending a Dorcas rally at Mukobeko Camp Site and was laid to rest on Thursday at her home village of Muswishi in Chisamba District.

According to Pastor John Chibala, Personal Ministries Director for Midlands East Zambia Conference, the late Ms. Kakombo, who also served as the Dorcas leader for Muswishi Mission District, met her death on the second day of the camp. She had gone into town to procure food supplies and other necessities for her group when she was struck by a Hino truck near the junction of Mukobeko Road and the Great North Road.

Her death has sent shockwaves across the church community, particularly among Dorcas workers and members who had gathered for the rally. The incident abruptly disrupted the camp meeting as many attendees left to attend the funeral.

The burial service was attended by a large number of mourners, including church leaders, Dorcas federation representatives from all 31 mission districts, pastors, civic leaders, and community members. The service was officiated by Pastor Ernesto Ricci, Personal Ministries Director for the Northern Zambia Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Chisamba Member of Parliament, Honourable Chushi Kasanda, joined church leaders in mourning the late Ms. Kakombo and paid tribute to her dedication and service to both the church and the community.

Among the church leadership present were Midlands East Zambia Conference President, Pastor Darlington Muyabila, and Elder Chipo Miyoba.

Emeria Kakombo is survived by four children. She was laid to rest in an emotional ceremony attended by members from Namunwa Seventh-day Adventist Church, fellow Dorcas workers, and scores of well-wishers whose lives she had touched through her ministry and service.

“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” Revelation 14:13:
