Genesis 26:12-22
¹ BLESSING ATTRACTS OPPOSITION, BUT DON'T LET it MAKE YOU BITTER.
Isaac got blessed 100-fold right in a famine. That same blessing made the Philistines jealous and they started filling his wells.
✝️For us: When you’re growing, working hard, or God is blessing you, expect some pushback. People may talk, compete, or try to shut you down. Don’t retaliate. Keep planting and keep working.
² CHOOSE PEACE OVER WINNING EVERY FIGHT.
Isaac had every right to fight for those wells. They were his father’s. But twice he walked away from conflict — Esek “dispute” and Sitnah “opposition.” He didn’t argue to prove a point.
✝️for us:Not every battle is worth your energy. Sometimes walking away and starting fresh opens up “Rehoboth” — more room, more peace, more blessing. You can lose a fight and still win the season.
³. GOD MAKES ROOM EVEN AFTER DISPLACEMENT
Every time Isaac was pushed out, he dug again. And at Rehoboth he said, “Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish.”
✝️FOR US:If a job, relationship, or opportunity gets “filled in” or taken away, God can still make new space for you. Provision isn’t tied to one well, one place, or one person. Keep digging. God’s blessing follows obedience, not just location.
✝️IN ONE LINE:_Stay faithful in hard seasons, refuse petty fights, and trust God to make room for you to flourish.
