The Original Diet Chosen by the Creator.

In order to know what are the best foods, we must study God’s original plan for man’s diet. He who created man and who understands his needs appointed Adam his food. “Behold,” He said, “I have given you every herb yielding seed, … and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.”

Upon leaving Eden to gain his livelihood by tilling the earth under the curse of sin, man received permission to eat also “the herb of the field.” Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator. These foods, prepared in as simple and natural a manner as possible, are the most healthful and nourishing.

They impart a strength, a power of endurance, and a vigor of intellect, that are not afforded by a more complex and stimulating diet. —The Ministry of Healing, 295, 296, 1905.

God gave our first parents the food He designed that the race should eat. It was contrary to His plan to have the life of any creature taken. There was to be no death in Eden. The fruit of the trees in the garden, was the food man’s wants required.

The Lord intends to bring His people back to live upon simple fruits, vegetables, and grains.... God provided fruit in its natural state for our first parents.—Extracts from Testimonies in Regard to Flesh Foods, 5 & 6.

The most important conversation you can have before any decision is not with a friend, mentor, or family member. It is with God. He already knows the outcome. He already sees the path you can't. He already knows what that opportunity will cost you, what that relationship will require of you, and where that choice will take you.

We spend so much time seeking advice from people who only know part of the story. God knows all of it. Give Him the chance to guide the process before you make the decision, not after you've already made it and need Him to fix it.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV).

EATING BETWEEN MEALS

Suppose you leave a little food in your breakfast dish, then at lunch add more to it, but then you don't use up the whole of it, and repeat this again and again, day after day. Can you imagine how the plate and food will look and smell in a few days?

Yet a person who eats between meals, eats before the previously taken food leaves the stomach, is unconsciously creating a condition that is just as bad.

If given no chance to empty from one meal to the next, the stomach is bound to ferment and produce gas and toxins, so that what little energy is realized from the food, the system must use to throw out the poisons. Rather than take food between meals, flush your stomach with pure fresh water - promote a good healthy appetite for the next meal.

If the food has not left your stomach, instead of eating because the time to eat has come or because you have a false hunger, keep on drinking warm water until your stomach becomes light and your appetite is stimulated. Correct eating habits make one's earnings go further, promote health, increase energy, sweeten the breath and develop amiability.

Regularity in eating is of vital importance. There should be a specified time for each meal. At this time, let everyone eat as the system requires, and then take nothing more until the next meal. There are many people who eat when the system needs no food, at irregular intervals and between meals, because they have no strength of will to resist inclination. When traveling, many people are constantly eating if anything eatable is within their reach. This is very injurious and tiring.

Jesus never met a person He didn't think was worth saving.

If we are true followers of Christ, a big part of that is treating everyone the way He did. This includes those who aren’t easy to love, people who look different from us, disagree with us, or can’t do anything for us.

Every person, regardless of their past, position, or story, has value and needs Jesus.

The way you treat people reflects how well you actually know Him.

Daniel 1:8 “Dare To Be Different’’

One of the greatest challenges of the Christian life is living faithfully to God in a world that constantly pressures us to conform. From school to workplace, from family to society, there are temptations to compromise, blend in, and lose our distinctiveness as God’s people.

Daniel and his friends faced this pressure in Babylon. Taken from Jerusalem as captives, they were given new names, new education, and new surroundings. Everything around them pushed them to forget God and adopt Babylon’s lifestyle.
Yet Daniel made a bold decision: “He purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself.” That decision shaped the rest of his life and ministry.

Daniel’s stand did not begin in public — it began in his heart. Before the test came, he had already decided he would remain faithful to God.

Conviction is different from opinion. Opinions change with circumstances, but conviction is anchored in truth. Daniel’s conviction was based on God’s Word — to eat defiled food would break God’s law and dishonor Him.
We must purpose in our hearts to live for God before the pressure comes. Decide now to stay pure, to honor God with your body, to live with integrity, to be faithful in prayer.
Daniel’s refusal was no small matter.

The king’s food and wine were considered privileges — delicacies from the royal table. Refusing them could be seen as an insult to the king, punishable by death. But Daniel dared to be different. His faith was stronger than his fear. Courage is not the absence of fear but choosing to obey God in spite of fear. Daniel’s goal was not to make a scene but to honor God.

Later in the chapter, God blessed him and his friends with health, wisdom, and favor before the king. When we honor God first, He honors us. Faithfulness starts in the heart…Obedience to God requires boldness.

A life surrendered to Him will be blessed.
Daniel’s choice as a young man shaped his destiny. He lived through multiple kings and empires, but his faith never wavered. Why? Because he dared to be different from the very beginning.
