The song connection + what "old time religion" really meant:

"Give me that old time religion" was an African American spiritual from the 1800s, sung by slaves and early church communities. "Old time" meant the faith of their grandparents' prayer, forgiveness, community, hope in God. In a world where everything else was taken from them - freedom, family, dignity - that faith was the one thing that stayed solid.

It was survival music. The song gave strength during slavery, poverty. Singing it together = community + courage when life was brutal."

Marked a remarkable and wonderful experience for zamhia university of technology as this was the last vesper for the first semester..
Students came together to worship God in truth and in spirit with gratitude towards the lord for he has been merciful and faithful from the start of the semester till the end..
Not only that we received the liseli accapella from nortech who came and graced us with their songs.

27th may 2026, marked a remarkable and wonderful communion amongst all the campus churches/ denominations of zambia university of technology.
We received the Gideons international who came ans distributed bibles for our students under the theme

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1

Dear Zambia University of Technology - PCM family, never underestimate the blessing of gathering together in the house of God. Church is not just a building we visit, it is a place where hearts are healed, faith is strengthened, and lives are transformed through the presence of God.

I know sometimes we may feel tired, discouraged, or too busy to attend service, but often those are the moments we need fellowship the most. In church, we worship together, pray together, learn God’s Word together, and encourage one another in love. One sermon can restore hope, one prayer can change a situation, and one moment in God’s presence can renew your strength completely.

The Bible reminds us in Hebrews 10:25 not to neglect gathering together as believers. Every service is an opportunity to grow spiritually, receive guidance, and experience the joy of being part of God’s family.
So let us not stay away from church when God is calling us closer. Make time for His house, come with an open heart, and expect great things from Him. Your presence may also become an encouragement to someone else who needs strength in their journey of faith.

Wednesday Reminder : What a fellowship, what a joy divine

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.” Hebrews 10:24

As Christians, we should stay united, care for one another, and live in love just as Christ taught us. Fellowship is about spending time together in faith, praying, encouraging, helping, and growing spiritually together.

As we have read in Hebrews 10:24, believers are encouraged to motivate one another to do good works and show love through their actions. It reminds Christians not to live in isolation, but to strengthen one another in faith and kindness.

Wishing you all a blessed and productive day ahead. And don’t forget to attend today’s Vespers. See you all!🙌🙏
