REJOICE, EASTER IS NEAR!

Rejoice, Easter is coming. Laetare Sunday reminds us that even in the middle of our Lenten sacrifices, the joy of the Resurrection is already near. The Church pauses from the penitential tone of Lent to give us hope and encouragement.

Laetare means “rejoice.” It is a gentle reminder that our fasting, prayers, and sacrifices are not without purpose. They lead us closer to the victory of Christ over sin and death.

As we continue our Lenten journey, Laetare Sunday prepares our hearts for the great celebration of Easter. It invites us to lift our eyes toward the promise of new life, reconciliation, and the light of the Resurrection.

So today we rejoice, because the Cross is not the end—the empty tomb is near. 🌹✝️

Lord God, Surround me with Your protection. Be my shield in danger, my light in darkness, and my peace in every storm. Guard my life, my family, and my path today and always.

Loving God,
please protect our youth from the dangers
present in our world today.
Be with them through sickness and health,
sorrow and joy, loneliness and friendship,
success and failure.
Give them the courage and strength to make the right decisions. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord.

Pray for peace in all the troubled parts of our world,in our communities, and in our families.

Let us Pray

Lord God, we humbly ask for peace in the Middle East.
Bring an end to the violence and protect innocent lives caught in fear and uncertainty.

Guide the hearts of world leaders toward wisdom, compassion, and reconciliation instead of comfort the wounded, the grieving, and those living in anxiety.

May your protection cover every family in danger.
In Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
