NATIONAL PRAYER FOR ZAMBIA AS THE NATION VOTES

Theme: “Righteousness Exalts a Nation” — Proverbs 14:34

A United Prayer by Pastors from the Ten Provinces of Zambia

Gracious and Almighty God,

Today we, the pastors and ministers of the Gospel from all the ten provinces of Zambia, join our hands and hearts in unity before Your throne of grace. We acknowledge that You are the Lord over Zambia, the giver of life, the source of wisdom, and the ruler over all nations.

Your Word declares, *“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord”* (Psalm 33:12). Therefore, we dedicate Zambia to You during this important season of voting and national decision-making.

Lord, we pray for peace across our land—from Lusaka, Copperbelt, Central, Eastern, Southern, Western, Northern, Luapula, Muchinga, and North-Western Provinces. Let every polling station be surrounded by Your peace. We cancel every spirit of violence, confusion, intimidation, hatred, and division in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Father, grant wisdom and understanding to every voter. May citizens vote with clear minds, integrity, and love for the nation. Remove fear, manipulation, corruption, and selfish ambition from our political process.

We pray for all leaders, candidates, electoral officials, security officers, observers, and all who are involved in this election. Give them honesty, fairness, patience, and the fear of God. Let truth prevail and let justice be done openly.

Lord Jesus, protect every citizen before, during, and after voting. Guard our homes, churches, schools, businesses, roads, and communities. Let no blood be shed in Zambia because of politics.

We ask for national unity after the results are announced. Teach us to respect one another regardless of political affiliation. Heal every wound, reconcile divided hearts, and bind us together as one people under God.

Holy Spirit, breathe revival upon Zambia. May this election season become a season of repentance, prayer, righteousness, and spiritual awakening. Turn the hearts of our people back to You.

As shepherds of Your people, we declare:
Zambia shall remain peaceful.

Zambia shall remain united.

Zambia shall remain governed by the mercy of God.

The Church shall continue to shine as the light of the nation.

The Gospel shall continue to transform lives in every province.

We proclaim over our nation:
“The Lord bless Zambia and keep Zambia; the Lord make His face shine upon Zambia and be gracious to Zambia; the Lord lift up His countenance upon Zambia and give Zambia peace.” (Numbers 6:24–26)

We make this prayer in the powerful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Amen and Amen.
Closing Declaration
“As pastors from the ten provinces of Zambia, we stand together in prayer, faith, and unity for a peaceful, righteous, and God-honoring election. Zambia belongs to the Lord.”

May the Lord grant peace, wisdom, and unity to Zambia as the nation votes. Amen.
