A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (Matthew 9:32-38)

At that time: Behold, a mute demoniac was brought to Jesus. And when the demon has been cast out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds marveled, saying, “Never was anything like this seen in Israel.” But the Pharisees said, “He casts out demons by the prince of demons.” And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every infirmity. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.”

Today, the Catholic Church joyfully celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, also known as Corpus Christi in Latin. This special day reminds us of the wonderful gift of the Holy Eucharist, where Jesus Christ offers Himself to us in His Body and Blood to nourish our souls and save us. As we honor Corpus Christi, may our hearts be filled with faith, love, and thankfulness for Christ's great sacrifice and his presence in our lives. May the Eucharist bring us closer together, grow our devotion, and help us live lives that are holy, peaceful, and dedicated to serving others. Happy Feast of Corpus Christi to all faithful Christians. May Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament bless and keep us always.
