REASON BEHIND THE LOSS OF HON. BRIAN MUNDUBILE
This is what I saw.
One of the spiritual reasons behind the loss of Hon. Brian Mundubile was the alliance he formed.
An alliance brings together people from different political groups, backgrounds and schools of thought. But when people with different visions and interests come together around one political ambition, there is a danger that the alliance may become stronger than the vision itself.
What I saw was that some people came into that alliance after they saw Hon. Mundubile gaining momentum, influence and national attention. They had realised they could not achieve what they wanted independently, so they found a way to become part of a movement that was already gaining ground.
But here is the deeper issue:
If Hon. Brian Mundubile had won the election, governing with some of those people would have been extremely difficult. Their perspectives, interests and political calculations were not necessarily the same. The very people who helped build the alliance could eventually have become a challenge to the administration.
This is why not every person who joins your vision is necessarily sent to help you fulfil it. Some people join because they believe in the assignment; others join because they see an opportunity.
There are alliances that are built by vision, and there are alliances built by convenience. A leader must have the discernment to know the difference.
That is the spiritual lesson I saw behind this loss.
In the next few days, I will come out live and share what I believe we must watch carefully as Zambians during the next five years of the UPND government—and what I believe comes after these five years.
There is a prophetic dimension to seasons, leadership and political transitions. We must discern the times.
