SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

FIRST READING
“He fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers

A reading from the Book of Deuteronomy (DEUTERONOMY 8: 2 - 3, 14b - 16a)

Moses spoke to the people, saying, “You shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not. And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but that man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord. “And you shall remember the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bo***ge, who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water, who brought you water out of the flinty rock, who fed you in the wilderness with manna which your fathers did not know.”

The Word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Taken from Psalm 147: 12 - 13, 14 - 15, 19 - 20 (R.) 12a

And the response is;
R/. O Jerusalem, glorify the Lord!*
Or:
*Alleluia.

O Jerusalem, glorify the Lord!
O Sion, praise your God!
He has strengthened the bars of your gates;
he has blessed your children within you. R/.

He established peace on your borders;
he gives you your fill of finest wheat.
He sends out his word to the earth,
and swiftly runs his command. R/.

He reveals his word to Jacob;
to Israel, his decrees and judgements.
He has not dealt thus with other nations;
he has not taught them his judgements. R/.

SECOND READING
“Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body.”

A reading from the first Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians (1 CORINTHIANS 10: 16 - 17)

Brethren: The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.

The Word of the Lord.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
John 6: 51

Alleluia.
I am the living bread which came down from heaven, says the Lord; if any one eats this bread he will live for ever.
Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“My flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.”

A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (JOHN 6: 51 - 58)

At that time: Jesus said to the crowds of the Jews, “I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.” The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever.”

THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY, YEAR A.

FIRST READING
“The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious.”

A reading from the Book of Exodus (EXODUS 34: 4b - 6, 8 - 9)

In those days: Moses rose early in the morning and went up on Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and took in his hand two tables of stone. And the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. The Lord passed before him, and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” And Moses made haste to bow his head towards the earth, and worshipped. And he said, “If now I have found favour in your sight, O Lord, let the Lord, I beg you, go in the midst of us, although it is a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”

The Word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Taken from Daniel 3: 29 - 30, 31, 33, 32, 34 (R.) 29b

And the response is;
R/. You are to be praised and highly exalted forever.*

Blessed are you, O Lord, God of our fathers,
and to be praised and highly exalted forever;
and blessed is your glorious, holy name
and to be highly praised and highly exalted forever. R/.

Blessed are you in the temple of your holy glory
and to be extolled and highly glorified forever. R/.

Blessed are you upon the throne of your kingdom
and to be extolled and highly exalted forever. R/.

Blessed are you, who sit upon cherubim and look upon the deeps,
and to be praised and highly exalted forever. R/.

Blessed are you in the firmament of heaven
and to be sung and glorified forever. R/.

SECOND READING
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. ”

A reading from the second Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians (2 CORINTHIANS 13: 11 - 13)

Brethren, rejoice. Mend your ways, heed my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you, The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

The Word of the Lord.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
Revelation 1: 8

Alleluia.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: to God who is, who was, and who is to come.
Alleluia

GOSPEL
“God sent his Son that the world might be saved through him.”

A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (JOHN 3: 16 - 18)

God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.

SUNDAY MAY 3RD 2026

FIFTH WEEK OF EASTER

FIRST READING
“They picked out seven men full of the Holy Spirit.”

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (ACTS 6: 1-7)

In these days when the disciples were increasing in number, the Hellenists murmured against the Hebrews because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. And the Twelve summoned the body of the disciples and said, “It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables. Therefore, brethren, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may appoint to this duty. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” And what they said pleased the whole multitude, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch. These they set before the apostles, and they prayed and laid their hands upon them. And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

The word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM

Psalm 33:1-2, 4-5, 18-19 (Response is taken from Psalm 33 verse 22)

And the reponse is:
R/. May your merciful love be upon us, as we hope in you, O Lord
Or: Alleluia.

Ring out your joy to the Lord, O you just;
for praise is fitting for the upright.
Give thanks to the Lord upon the harp;
with a ten-stringed lute sing him songs. R/.

For the word of the Lord is faithful,
and all his works to be trusted.
The Lord loves justice and right,
and his merciful love fills the earth. R/.

Yes, the Lord’s eyes are on those who fear him,
who hope in his merciful love,
to rescue their souls from death,
to keep them alive in famine. R/.

SECOND READING

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood.”

A reading from the first Letter of Saint Peter (1 PETER 2:4-9)

Beloved: Come to the Lord, to that living stone, rejected by men but in God’s sight chosen and precious; and like living stones be yourselves built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and he who believes in him will not be put to shame.” To you therefore who believe, he is precious, but for those who do not believe, “The very stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” and “A stone that will make men stumble, a rock that will make them fall”; for they stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

The word of the Lord.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
Taken from John 14:6

Alleluia
I am the way, and the truth, and the life, says the Lord; no one comes to the Father, but by me
Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.”

A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (JOHN 14: 1- 12)

In those days: Jesus said to his disciples, “Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also; henceforth you know him and have seen him.” Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and we shall be satisfied.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or else believe me for the sake of the works themselves. “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father.”

*GOOD SHEPHERD SUNDAY AND FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER*

FIRST READING
“God has made him both Lord and Christ.”_A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2.14a.36-41)

[On the day of Pentecost,] Peter, standing with the Eleven, lifted up his voice and said to the multitude, “Let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.” Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?” And Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children and to all that are far off, every one whom the Lord our God calls to him.” And he testified with many other words and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” So those who received his word were baptised, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

The word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM*l
Psalm23:1-3a,3b-4,5,6 (Response is taken from Psalm 23 verse 1)

And the response is:
R. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.

The Lord is my shepherd;
there is nothing I shall want.
Fresh and green are the pastures
where he gives me repose.
Near restful waters he leads me;
he revives my soul. R.

He guides me along the right path,
for the sake of his name.
Though I should walk in the valley of the shadow of death,
no evil would I fear, for you are with me.
Your crook and your staff will give me comfort. R.

You have prepared a table before me
in the sight of my foes.
My head you have anointed with oil;
my cup is overflowing. R.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life.
In the Lord’s own house shall I dwell
for length of days unending. R.

SECOND READING
“You have returned to the shepherd of your souls.”
A reading from the first Letter of Saint Peter (1 Peter 2:20b-25)

Beloved: If when you do right and suffer for it you take it patiently, you have God’s approval. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. He committed no sin; no guile was found on his lips. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten; but he trusted to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

The word of the Lord.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
Taken from John 10: 14
Alleluia.
“I am the good shepherd, says the Lord; I know my own, and my own know me.”
Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“I am the door of the sheep.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (John 10:1-10)

At that time: Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber; but he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens; the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” This figure Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them. So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not heed them. I am the door; if any one enters by me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

APRIL 12TH 2026.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY.

FIRST READING
“All who believed were together and had all things in common.”

A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (ACTS 2: 42 - 47)

[The brethren] held steadfastly to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers. And fear came upon every soul; and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common; and they sold their possessions and goods and distributed them to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they partook of food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

The Word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Taken from Psalm 118: 2 - 4, 13 - 15ab, 22 - 24 (R.) 1

And the response is;
R/. Give praise to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endures forever.
Or:
Alleluia.

Let the house of Israel say,
“His mercy endures forever.”
Let the house of Aaron say,
“His mercy endures forever.”
Let those who fear the Lord say,
“His mercy endures forever.” R/.

I was thrust down, thrust down and falling,
but the Lord was my helper.
The Lord is my strength and my song; he was my saviour.
There are shouts of joy and salvation
in the tents of the just. R/.

The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.
By the Lord has this been done, a marvel in our eyes.
This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice in it and be glad. R/.

SECOND READING
“We have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

A reading from the first Letter of Saint Peter (1 PETER 1: 3 - 9)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and to an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold which though perishable is tested by fire, may redound to praise and glory and honour at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Without having seen him you love him; though you do not now see him you believe in him and rejoice with unutterable and exalted joy. As the outcome of your faith you obtain the salvation of your souls.

The Word of the Lord.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
John 20: 29

Alleluia.
You believed, Thomas, because you have seen me, says the Lord; blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.
Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“Eight days later Jesus came.”

A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (JOHN 20: 19 - 31)

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, and place my finger in the mark of the nails, and place my hand in his side, I will not believe.” Eight days later, his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. The doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood among them, and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “You have believed because you have seen me. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.” Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
