Monze East Mission District Joins Rusangu Conference AMO Rally 2026.
The Monze East Mission District proudly joined thousands of Adventist men from across Southern Zambia at the Rusangu Conference AMO Rally 2026, held at the Rusangu International Campsite from 14th – 21st June 2026. With the rally’s call — “Men of destiny, this is your call!” — participants gathered under the powerful theme: Revived, Equipped, Sent. This guiding message emphasized spiritual renewal, practical preparation, and mission-driven service, aligning with the Adventist Men’s Organization’s vision to strengthen men’s leadership in faith, family, and community.The keynote speaker, Pastor Evance Manjimela, delivered inspiring sermons that challenged men to embrace their God-given roles as spiritual leaders. His messages highlighted the importance of revival through prayer, equipping through the Word, and being sent to serve both church and society. Pastor Manjimela’s dynamic preaching resonated deeply with attendees, encouraging them to live out their faith with courage and commitment. Beyond worship, the rally featured community service initiatives, leadership training sessions, and vibrant fellowship activities. Monze East Mission District’s participation underscored its dedication to building strong families, empowering communities, and contributing to the wider mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.As the rally concluded, the call to be revived, equipped, and sent echoed across the Rusangu grounds, leaving participants renewed in spirit and ready to serve.

Monze East Mission District Commemorates the Southern Zambia Union Community Service

Monze East Mission District of the Seventh‑Day Adventist Church joined the Southern Zambia Union Conference "Building Hope" Community Service on May 31, 2026, taking part in the union‑wide initiative themed “Building Hope.” The event at Monze Mission Hospital saw Fairview SDA Church donate cleaning supplies to the hospital’s Male Ward as part of a broader programme of community support activities.
Fairview SDA Church presented a range of cleaning items to the Male Ward to support hospital hygiene and patient care. Head Elder Situmbeko Muyatwa said the community service initiative is intended to contribute to society and assist the less privileged, adding that Monze Mission Hospital serves a large number of people in the surrounding community. The donation, he said, was meant to complement the efforts of hospital management in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Receiving the donated items on behalf of the hospital, Coverage Officer Mr. Mathews Phiri commended the Seventh‑Day Adventist Church for the gesture. Mr. Phiri said the supplies will go a long way toward maintaining cleanliness at the hospital and supporting ongoing infection‑prevention efforts.
In a related community action, members of Monze East SDA Church carried out a clean‑up of ZCA Clinic and its surrounding grounds. Elder Erick Amusa emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment at every facility, noting that regular community involvement helps protect public health and fosters pride in local institutions.

The Monze East Mission District’s participation in the Southern Zambia Union Conference Community Service reflects a coordinated effort to *build hope* through practical support for health facilities and community spaces.

OVER 204,000 SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST MEMBERS REPORTED MISSING IN LOCAL CHURCH’S REGISTERS FOR 2025

The latest 2026 annual statistics released by the Office of Archives, Statistics, and Research at the General Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventists have revealed that 204,222 members have reportedly gone missing in 2025, a significant increase from 181,663 in 2024.

The statistics compiled as part of the 2026 Annual Statistical Report show a 22,559 rise in the number of missing members. The report provides detailed figures from 13 Divisions and the territories attached to the General Conference, showing a clear picture of where membership loss is most pronounced.

The South American Division has seen the largest increase in missing members, with figures climbing from 83,320 in 2024 to 100,710 in 2025, representing an increase of 17,390 members going missing in the church register.

Similarly, the Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division (SID) experienced a rise from 20,710 missing members in 2024 to 32,953 in 2025. The Southern Asia-Pacific Division also reported an increase, with missing members growing from 2,696 to 6,276 in 2025.

The East-Central Africa Division, in contrast, reported a decrease in missing members, falling from 11,624 in 2024 to 7,449 in 2025, which could indicate improvements in membership tracking, robust nurturing efforts,or other demographic factors.

The 2026 report shows that while some regions have seen reductions in missing members, the overall global increase raises concerns over retention and the effectiveness of member nurturing initiatives.

It is important for all church members to consider implementing new strategies alongside traditional methods in order to improve member retention. With digital tools at our disposal, these should be efficiently utilised to enhance constant engagement and communication among our members. May the merciful Lord bless our efforts and influence. Monze East Mission District Dorcas Leader Commends Workers

Monze, Zambia – Monze East Mission District Dorcas Leader Sister Mweemba has commended all the Dorcas Workers who turned up for the Community Service activity held at Holy Family in Monze this morning.
Dorcas Workers (also known as the Dorcas Society) are the official community-service arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Named after the biblical disciple Dorcas (Tabitha) in Acts 9:36-42 — a woman “full of good works and acts of charity” who made clothes for the poor and widows — their role is to be the practical, hands-on expression of Christian compassion. They focus on meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the less privileged through clothing distribution, food aid, disaster relief, hospital and prison visits, and regular community service projects. In the SDA Church, Dorcas service is not occasional charity but a lifestyle of loving action that combines material help with the sharing of the Gospel.
In her address, Sister Mweemba said, “Community Service is an outreach programme earmarked to serve the less privileged in society.” She also challenged fellow Dorcas Workers to prepare for the forthcoming Dorcas Rally for both the District and the Conference.
The Dorcas Workers’ commitment continues to inspire many within the district, reminding members that true faith is best expressed through loving service to others.

Monze, Zambia – Members of the Monze East Mission District Dorcas Workers have received high commendation for extending their ministry beyond the church walls through dedicated community outreach.
Dorcas Workers (also known as the Dorcas Society) are the official community-service arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Named after the biblical disciple Dorcas (Tabitha) in Acts 9:36-42 — a woman “full of good works and acts of charity” who made clothes for the poor and widows — their role is to be the practical, hands-on expression of Christian compassion. They focus on meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the less privileged through clothing distribution, food aid, disaster relief, hospital and prison visits, and regular community service projects. In the SDA Church, Dorcas service is not occasional charity but a lifestyle of loving action that combines material help with the sharing of the Gospel.
The recognition came following a successful Community Service project carried out this morning at the Holy Family Center in Monze. The Dorcas team rolled up their sleeves to assist the centre, demonstrating the practical love and service that lies at the heart of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s mission.
Speaking immediately after the activity, a representative of the Holy Family Center expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Dorcas Workers for their noble and timely support. “We are truly thankful for the help rendered here today,” the representative said, highlighting the positive impact the team’s efforts had on the facility and the people it serves.
Earlier in the programme, Monze East Mission District Pastor Ocean Mwiinde underscored the church’s responsibility to care for the less privileged. “The SDA Church has a vital role to play in serving those in need through Community Service,” Pastor Mwiinde stated. He went on to commend the Dorcas Workers for their selfless gesture, describing their work as a shining example of Christian compassion in action.
In her closing remarks, Monze East Mission District Dorcas Leader, Sister Mweemba, challenged the workers to maintain this spirit of service in their everyday lives. “I encourage all Dorcas Workers to always consider extending their hands to the needy in their daily errands,” she said. “Let us not limit our service to special events only, but make it a lifestyle.”
The Community Service initiative at Holy Family Center is part of the Monze East Mission District’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its outreach programmes and live out the Gospel through practical deeds. Church leaders noted that such activities not only meet immediate needs but also build stronger relationships between the church and the wider community.
