YOUTHS URGED TO REFLECT CHRISTIAN VALUES IN DAILY LIVES

Monze Diocese Bishop, Rt. Rev. Raphael Mweempwa has urged young people to demonstrate their Christian faith through their conduct and actions, rather than merely professing to be Christians.

Speaking during Mass at the ongoing Monze Denary Youth Congress, Bishop Mweempwa said Christian values should be evident in the way young people conduct themselves and interact with others.

He said even young people’s use of social media, including the comments and content they share, should reflect their Christian values and serve as a positive witness to others.

Bishop Mweempwa also encouraged the youths to remind, support, and encourage one another to fulfill their responsibilities both in their families and in the Church.

Meanwhile, Hanyanga Michelo, a youth participant from Njola Sub-Parish, has urged fellow young people to commit themselves to attending church gatherings, saying regular participation can contribute to better lives.

Michelo said active involvement in church activities helps keep young people away from illicit activities while providing them with positive guidance, support, and fellowship.
