📖First Reading 1 Corinthians 3:18-23
📖R. To the Lord belongs the earth and all that fills it.
📖Holy Gospel according:Luke 5:1-11

While the crowd was pressing in on Jesus and listening to the word of God,
he was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret.
He saw two boats there alongside the lake;
the fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets.
Getting into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon,
he asked him to put out a short distance from the shore.
Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.
After he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,
"Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch."
Simon said in reply,
"Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing,
but at your command I will lower the nets."
When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish
and their nets were tearing.
They signaled to their partners in the other boat
to come to help them.
They came and filled both boats
so that the boats were in danger of sinking.
When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said,
"Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man."
For astonishment at the catch of fish they had made seized him
and all those with him,
and likewise James and John, the sons of Zebedee,
who were partners of Simon.
Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid;
from now on you will be catching men."
When they brought their boats to the shore,
they left everything and followed him.

GOD WATCHES OVER HIS PEOPLE, AND WE PLACE OUR HOPE AND TRUST IN HIM.📖

Merciful Father, we are grateful for the gift of life you have given us today. Strengthen our faith and give us the grace to care for one another.
Bless our diocese with dedicated people willing to serve and spread your Good News.
Grant us a peaceful night as we rest, hoping for a better tomorrow filled with your blessings.
Amen.🙏

📖Holy Gospel according: Luke 4:38-44

After leaving the synagogue Jesus entered Simon’s house. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked him about her. Then he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. Immediately she got up and began to serve them.

As the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various kinds of diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on each of them and cured them. Demons also came out of many, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Messiah.

At daybreak he departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowds were looking for him; and when they reached him, they wanted to prevent him from leaving them. But he said to them, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also; for I was sent for this purpose.” So he continued proclaiming the message in the synagogues of Judea.

Almighty Father, bless us with our basic needs and protect us throughout this day.

LET US TURN TO CHRIST WITH FAITH, FOR HIS WORDS BRING FREEDOM AND TRANSFORMATION TO OUR LIVES.📖

As this day comes to an end, we glorify you, almighty Father, for your endless mercy.
May we trust in the authority and power of your word, for your word brings freedom and transformation to our lives.
May your churches grow forever, praising and glorifying you, O Lord, we pray.
Bless our families and friends tonight and grant us a peaceful night.
Amen.🙏

📖Holy Gospel according to : Luke 4:31–37
Jesus went down to Capernaum, a city in Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbath. They were astounded at his teaching, because he spoke with authority. In the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, “Let us alone! What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” When the demon had thrown him down before them, he came out of him without having done him any harm. They were all amazed and kept saying to one another, “What kind of utterance is this? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and out they come!” And a report about him began to reach every place in the region.

HE CAME TO PROCLAIM FREEDOM AND BRING HEALING📖

Lord almighty father, you are worthy to be glorified because you are merciful to us.
We are grateful for allowing us to experience this day. Bless us with strength so that we may be instruments of your love, bringing hope, peace, and compassion to those around us.
May our service continue to inspire the next generation and generations to come.
May we wake up tomorrow under your blessings, filled with joy and hope.
AMEN. 🙏
