New Year. Honest Faith. Real Transformation

“Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith.” — 2 Corinthians 13:5

As a new year begins, we are called to pause and reflect before moving forward. Beyond the excitement of fresh beginnings lies a deeper invitation to review the year that has passed and to engage in sincere, thoughtful self-examination. This is a moment to set aside lesser concerns and focus on what truly matters—our standing with God and our eternal interests.

We cannot reflect the character of Christ in our own strength, but when He lives in the heart, His Spirit is revealed through the life. The new year offers an opportunity for genuine renewal: making wrongs right, letting go of bitterness, and allowing patience, kindness, and love to shape our character. What we lack, Christ is able to supply.

This is a call to personal commitment—to renounce self, grow in humility, and remain firm in the truth. Our time and talents belong to God and are meant to reflect His light, drawing others toward the narrow way of holiness. As we step into this year, let us choose transformation over conformity and stand firmly on Christ’s side—the gaining side—making sure work for Heaven.
