‎PATHFINDER KILLED IN TRAGIC ROAD ACCIDENT ON WAY TO GOSPEL ALBUM LAUNCH.
‎
‎A 12-year-old Pathfinder from Zimba City Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Southern Province has died after being hit by a motor vehicle while on her way to attend a gospel album launch.
‎
‎Faith Liywali lost her life on May 31, 2026, as she was crossing the road en route to an album launch event held at Zimba Secondary School.
‎
‎According to a public notice issued by the church, Faith was a dedicated and committed member of the Pathfinder Club, known for her active participation in church activities.
‎
‎The church has described her death as a devastating loss to the congregation and the Pathfinder family.
‎
‎Faith Liywali will be laid to rest today.

*ATTENTION*

Calvary Greetings, Counselors and Youth Leaders.

We appreciate each one of you for the value you continue to add to youth ministry of Rusangu.

However, allow me to remind us that youth ministry is not about uniforms, insignia, investitures, or programs. It is a divine mission initiated by God to save and disciple young people.

As senior leaders, discussions about uniform specifications and insignia placement should never divide us. When we act as competitors rather than co-laborers, we fail the very youth we are called to mentor.

On vetting, true accountability begins with us. A Master Guide is first vetted by personal character and the recommendation of the local church before any conference involvement. Where concerns exist, let us address them through proper channels.

Regarding investitures, numbers alone do not define success. If we are not training correctly, we are simply multiplying error. The curriculum is clear; our responsibility as mentors is to teach faithfully and maintain standards without compromise.

My greatest concern is this, while we debate procedures, our youth are battling existential confusion, moral relativism, identity crises, spiritual emptiness, mental health challenges, unemployment, poor reading culture, technology addiction, and doctrinal uncertainty.

These are the battles demanding our attention.

If we cannot find Jesus at the center of youth ministry, then we have missed the purpose of the ministry itself.

Team, we can do better. Let us spend less time arguing about uniforms and more time preparing young people for the Kingdom.

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we inform you of the death of our beloved brother, Moris Chibale.

Brother Moris was a valued member of our family and community. His kindness, presence, and contribution to many lives will always be remembered.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Chibale family, friends, and all who knew and loved him during this difficult time. May the Lord grant comfort, strength, and peace to everyone affected by this loss.

Further details concerning funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course.
