We all have things that are trying to hold us back. It can be fear, addictions, negative things people have said. Now that’s damaging our self-esteem, keeping us from believing in who we are. Sometimes, it’s the mistakes we’ve made. We keep rehearsing them, living down on ourselves. The past is restricting us. Or we’re dealing with an illness, a child that’s off course, we can’t get ahead in our finances. We want to move forward, but it’s like these forces keep pulling us back. It’s easy to get comfortable being constrained, to learn to live with things that are limiting us. Just accept, “This is who I am. I am chained to this addiction, chained to the past, chained to how I was raised." But God did not create you to live bound. One reason Jesus came, died, and rose again was so that you could be free. Not partially free. Not most of the way free, make you a little better. The Scripture says, “You will be unquestionably free.” That means there’s no doubt. You’re not having to fake it, cover over it, pretend. You’re healthy. You’re whole. You’re blessed. You’re happy. Your children are excelling. You’re living a victorious life.
