THE GOD WHO SAVED ME
"Beholding the Infinite Love of God Revealed in Jesus Christ"
Main Text: Titus 3:3–7
Supporting Scriptures: Ephesians 2:1–10; Colossians 1:13–14; Isaiah 53:4–6; Matthew 3:13–17; John 1:29; Romans 5:6–11; 1 Peter 1:18–21; Hebrews 9:11–15.

INTRODUCTION
The greatest testimony a believer can ever give is not how successful they have become, how many miracles they have witnessed, or how many earthly blessings they have received. The greatest testimony is this: "God saved me."
These three words contain an eternity of grace. They declare that I was once condemned but have now been justified; once dead but now alive; once an enemy of God but now His beloved child; once bound for eternal judgment but now an heir of everlasting life.
When I say, "The God Who Saved Me," I am declaring that salvation belongs entirely to God. I did not save myself by good works, religious effort, moral discipline, or human righteousness. Left to myself, I could never remove even one sin from my soul.

The human race inherited a sinful nature through Adam. Sin separated humanity from God and brought spiritual death into the world. Every generation has searched for peace with God through religion, sacrifices, philosophy, education, wealth, and personal reform. Yet none of these could remove sin from the conscience or reconcile humanity to a holy God.
But before the foundation of the world, God had already prepared the perfect plan of redemption. His love was not an afterthought. Redemption was His eternal purpose.

God Himself entered human history in the person of Jesus Christ—not merely as a teacher or prophet, but as the promised Messiah and the spotless Lamb of God.
Jesus came to accomplish what no human being could ever accomplish.
According to the New Testament, His saving work reaches its climax in His sacrificial death and victorious resurrection. Within your theological understanding, His baptism by John also marks His identification with sinners and forms part of the complete work by which He bore the sins of the world before offering Himself on the cross.

Therefore, salvation is entirely the work of God.
He sought us before we sought Him.
He loved us before we loved Him.
He chose us before we chose Him.
He came for us when we had no strength to come to Him.
That is why Scripture declares:
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
✅The God who saved me is the God of mercy.
✅The God who saved me is the God of grace.
✅The God who saved me is the God of holiness.
✅The God who saved me is the God who fulfilled every requirement of divine justice without compromising His infinite love.
He did not simply overlook sin.
He dealt with it completely through Jesus Christ.
Now everyone who believes in Christ can stand before God with confidence—not because of personal righteousness, but because of the righteousness that God freely gives through Christ.

I. THE GOD WHO SAVED ME KNEW ME BEFORE I KNEW HIM

Ephesians 1:4–5
Before creation itself, God had already set His love upon His people. Our salvation began in the eternal heart of God, not in human effort.
God's plan was never defeated by humanity's fall. The cross was not God's emergency response to sin; it was His eternal purpose to reveal both His justice and His immeasurable love.
Therefore, salvation is God's initiative from beginning to end.
He called us.
He pursued us.
He redeemed us.
He keeps us.
Every part of salvation proclaims the glory of God rather than the achievement of humanity.

Sermon Theme: My God Has Delivered Me from the Strong Enemy

"He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me." (KJV)

Introduction
There are battles in life that no human strength, wisdom, or resources can overcome. Some enemies are stronger than us physically, spiritually, financially, or emotionally. But the good news is that God specializes in delivering His people from strong enemies. David testified that God rescued him because his enemies were too strong for him. The same God is still delivering His people today through the Spirit, the Water, and the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

1. There Are Strong Enemies
Scripture: Psalm:17
Strong enemies may include:
▪️Satan and his kingdom.
▪️Sin and temptation.
▪️Fear and depression.
▪️Poverty and lack.
▪️Sickness and disease.
Generational bondages.
▪️Unjust persecution.
Sometimes the enemy is stronger than our own ability, but never stronger than God.

2. God Is Greater Than Every Strong Enemy

Isaiah:19
Romans:31
When the enemy comes like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord raises a standard against him. If God is for us, no enemy can prevail.

3. God Delivers by His Mighty Power
Scripture: Exodus:13–14
God delivered Israel from Pharaoh without them fighting. The Lord Himself fought for His people. When God fights your battles, victory is certain.

4. Our Greatest Deliverance Is Through Christ Jesus
Scriptures:
Colossians:13
Hebrews:14–15
Jesus Christ has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness, from the fear of death, and from the power of the devil through His sacrifice of baptism and bloodshed on the Cross.

5. We Overcome by the Spirit, the Water, and the Blood

Revelation:11
The Spirit gives life, the Water cleanses and sanctifies us by the Word and christ Jesus baptism, and the Blood of Jesus redeems, forgives, and defeats the accuser. Every strong enemy is overcome through the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Conclusion
Your testimony should not be, "I defeated the enemy by my own strength," but, "My God has delivered me from the strong enemy." God receives all the glory because He alone is our Deliverer.

Declaration

*CAN YOU IMAGINE ANY CAMEL EVER GOING THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE? (MATTHEW 19:24)*

Think about just how small the eye of a needle is. It is not just hard for a camel to go through such a small hole, but it is
completely impossible. Yet even more difficult than that, is for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. In other words, Jesus was saying that it was even more impossible for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God.

*What kind of rich people did Jesus speak of here? The rich man here refers to someone who is rich in his heart.* Jesus was not speaking about materially wealthy people. Take a look at this young man. It’s written, *_“One came and said to Him, ‘Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?’”_* This man’s heart was filled with his own human virtues. He had done many good deeds, earned many merits, kept all of the Law, and obeyed each of the Ten Commandments as well, and he was wondering what more he could do on his own, convinced that he was near perfect and he could do everything that needed to be done. Given this, it was natural for him to be rich in his heart. *In other words, he was a rich man because his heart was rich with his own virtues. That one has many virtues means that his heart is very rich.* Jesus, however, said that it was harder for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.

Let’s turn to verses 23 and 24 here *_“Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.’”_* Jesus drew a comparison to illustrate that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. You all know what a camel is, right? What about a needle? These days, hardly anyone does any needlework anymore, but you all know what a needle is. The eye of a needle is so small that a grandmother with poor eyesight has to ask her grandchild to put the thread through the needle’s eye for her. When not even a finger can go through the eye of a needle, how can a camel, an animal that’s several times larger than a man, ever go through it? Even the largest door at your home can hardly accommodate a camel to pass through it.

You can never enter the Kingdom of Heaven with your own human virtues. It is harder for someone with many human virtues to enter Heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. *Even if there was a way for a camel to somehow go through the eye of the needle, it’s absolutely impossible for anyone filled with his own human virtues to enter Heaven.* Can anyone filled with human wickedness enter Heaven then? No, such people cannot enter either. What is it then that we must do? Jesus said here, *_“With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” _* This means that since God Himself became a man and came to us on this earth, and since He has saved us through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, all that we have to do is just believe in this. Yet those who have too many human virtues of their own do not believe in Jesus.

When a rich young man asked, *_“What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”_* Jesus said to him, *_“No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”_* And He gave him the major commandments in turn. The young man then asked, *_“I’ve kept all these commandments, and so what do I still lack?”_* Jesus then said to him, *_“Did you? Well then, sell all your possessions and give them to the poor. You will then be able to enter into life.”_* Selling our possessions means that we must throw away all our human virtues.
