The Pathfinder Club flourishes best when discipline is not simply enforced, but clearly understood in its true purpose and meaning. What is discipline if its only aim is to point out faults rather than restore character? As leaders, we must remember that when a Pathfinder makes a mistake, our role is not to emphasize how wrong the child is, but to guide them toward correction, growth, and positive change.
Discipline should never come from anger or a desire to shame, but from love, patience, and a sincere commitment to building a better individual. A wise leader does not rush to assign blame, but takes time to listen, to counsel, and to correct in a manner that considers the child’s age, level of understanding, and emotional state.
The moment we begin to label children as “bad” because of their actions, we lose the true essence of discipline and weaken its effectiveness. Discipline loses its value when it becomes destructive instead of constructive. These Pathfinders are not bad children; they are young individuals who are still learning, growing, and developing. It is only certain actions that may be wrong—and those can be corrected.
Our responsibility, therefore, is not to break their spirit, but to shape their character—not to condemn them, but to uplift them. Every act of correction should leave them better, stronger, and more determined to do what is right.
Thank you our dear parents for entrusting us with your children.
On behalf of the leaders may I register that we enjoyed and had fun through out the week.
More pictures coming your way both from local leaders as well as the conference media team.
Memories were created and will always cherish them.
