A renewed faith was instilled in the moment when Ibex Hill congregation witnessed the introduction of the newly assigned Bishop of Lusaka East Luangwa Apostle Area.
This special midweek divine service rejuvenated the mind and spirit of the hopeful congregants in a divine service conducted by Lead Apostle Oscar Kalumiana.
Lead Apostle Kalumiana guided the faithful flock through a message of transformation grounded in Apostle Paulβs words to the church in Ephesus.
Ephesians 4:23 β ββ¦and be renewed in the spirit of your mind.β
The officiant emphasised that true renewal requires believers to shade off the Old Adam, expressing genuine love for God and our neighbours, regaining the desire and motivation of serving the Lord and through willingness to offer and sacrifice.
βThere is nothing impossible with our faith provided we put it before God,β said Lead Apostle Kalumiana.
On such a rare occasion Apostle James Kasongo found his place at the gracious altar and said, βWhen our faith is renewed, we will have hope of the coming of the Lord, we shall not fear because we will know that all this is transitory.β
The newly assigned Bishop Eric Kamwi opened his heart delivering his inaugural supporting sermon and closed with a call of enduring self-reflection, the need for adjustment to align with the Holy Spirit until Christ returns.
Like Moses before the burning bush, believers must remove the sandals of worldly teachings while leaving behind the spirit of complaint and be transformed through renewal of the mind.
βWe need to put on love and joy for that`s the nature of Jesus Christ,β said Bishop Kamwi.
The divine service concluded with Victory through Grace hymn and featured the introduction of the Mtendere District Rector Jackson Mwalubilo who will serve as interim leader for Kabulonga District Rector Area following the assignment of its former head Bishop Connwell Muzumbwe now working under Monze Mazabuka Apostle Area.
