Good afternoon, family.

In light of the current tension being experienced in parts of Lusaka, we urge all members of the Cavendish University Zambia Catholic Students Community to remain calm, vigilant, and, above all, safe.

We encourage everyone to: 🏠 Stay home unless movement is absolutely necessary.
🚫 Avoid unnecessary movements, especially in groups.
👕 Be mindful of the clothing you wear to avoid being mistaken for a carder.
🙏 Remain calm and avoid anything that may contribute to tension or conflict.

Let us look out for one another and continue to choose peace, unity, and wisdom during this period.

As a Catholic community, let us keep praying for peace and safety in our country. 🇿🇲🙏

Today, Jesus reminds us that love seeks reconciliation, not revenge. When someone hurts us, we are called to approach them with humility, truth, and love rather than allowing resentment to grow.

May we have the courage to forgive, the wisdom to speak with kindness, and the humility to seek peace. And may we always remember that where two or three are gathered in Christ’s name, He is there among us. 🙏🏽

THE BEAUTY OF A CATHOLIC YOUTH WITH A ROSARY

There is such beauty in finding joy, peace, and serenity in the Catholic faith. We do not worship Mother Mary; we honor her dearly as the Mother of God, the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Mother of the Church, and our Mother. We love and venerate her because God chose her to bear our Savior, and we lovingly seek her maternal intercession to lead us ever closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

Look at the beauty of my Rosary—a sacred chain of prayers, a spiritual treasure, and a heavenly banquet of grace for all that my heart longs to bring before God. Through every Hail Mary, I am reminded of Jesus, His life, His Passion, His death, and His glorious Resurrection. I will forever cherish, honor, and seek the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is the Mother of God, Mother of the Church, Mother of Perpetual Help, my Mother, my Lady, my Sweetness, and my Hope.

Mary, lead me always to Your Son, my Lord Jesus Christ. Teach me to love Him, trust Him, and surrender everything to Him.

Totus Tuus, Maria.
Jesus, I trust in You.

Today, Christ reminds us that greatness in God’s Kingdom begins with humility. A child trusts, depends, listens, and is willing to learn.

May we have the grace to let go of pride, trust God wholeheartedly, and remain humble enough to grow in faith. True greatness is found in becoming humble before God. 🙏🏽

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, give us humble and trusting hearts. Teach us to depend on You, to serve others with love, and to walk faithfully in Your ways. Amen.
