𝗖.𝗖.𝗔.𝗣 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗭𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿-𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁

The C.C.A.P Synod of Zambia, in its recently concluded meetings, has elected Rev. Peter Chipeta as Moderator-Elect. He will succeed Rev. Dr. Gift Nyirenda, who has now officially assumed the office of Moderator of the Synod.

Rev. Chipeta currently serves as Parish Minister of Mtendere Congregation in Lusaka, under the Midlands East Presbytery. His distinguished ministry journey includes faithful service in Solwezi Congregation, David Machnochy Congregation, and Egichikeni Congregation. He also previously served as Education Secretary of the C.C.A.P Synod of Zambia, where he made significant contributions to the Church’s education ministry and leadership development initiatives.

The Synod extends heartfelt congratulations to Rev. Chipeta on his election and looks forward to his continued service and leadership in advancing the mission and ministry of the Church.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐃 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆

The 2026 Synod Meeting is scheduled to take place from 25𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒐 30𝒕𝒉 𝑨𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒕 2026 at 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆, located on Plot 17988, Leopards Hill Road, Lusaka. The venue will host all official Synod proceedings during this period.

📰 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀

We are delighted to announce that the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) now comprises six Synods, following the official constitution of the Mphatso Synod of Mozambique as the sixth Synod.

This historic milestone was achieved during the recently concluded CCAP General Assembly in Zimbabwe. The General Assembly is now constituted by the following Synods:

✅ CCAP Synod of Zambia
✅ CCAP Nkhoma Synod
✅ CCAP Livingstonia Synod
✅ CCAP Blantyre Synod
✅ CCAP Harare Synod
✅ CCAP Mphatso Synod (Mozambique)

We give all glory and honor to God for the continued growth of His Church and the remarkable expansion of His Gospel across the region. May this development strengthen the Church's mission and witness as we faithfully proclaim Christ to the nations.

𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 & 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞

The CCAP General Assembly has elected 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑳𝒂𝒛𝒂𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒋𝒆 of the CCAP Synod of Zambia as Second Deputy Secretary General, marking a significant moment for the Synod of Zambia and the wider church fellowship. His election brings strong leadership and representation from Zambia to the highest administrative structures of the General Assembly.

During the General Assembly meeting held in Zimbabwe, 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑵𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒘𝒆 of the CCAP Synod of Livingstonia was elected First Deputy Secretary General. Her election is being celebrated as a historic milestone and a powerful affirmation of women's leadership within the church. Rev. Longwe currently serves as Chaplain at David Gordon Memorial Hospital in Khondowe, Livingstonia.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱:

- 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒆 𝑲𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒋𝒊 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒌𝒊 of the CCAP Blantyre Synod as Moderator.
- 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑮𝒊𝒃𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑩𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏 of the Harare Synod as Vice Moderator.
- 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑬𝒅𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒍𝒖𝒎𝒂 𝑻𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒐 of the CCAP Nkhoma Synod as Secretary General, returning to the General Assembly leadership after previously serving as Deputy Secretary General from 2013 to 2020.
- 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑳𝒂𝒛𝒂𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒋𝒆 of the CCAP Synod of Zambia as Second Deputy Secretary General.

The newly elected leaders will serve a four-year term, guiding the affairs and mission of the CCAP General Assembly across the region.

The election of 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑳𝒂𝒛𝒂𝒓𝒖𝒔 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒋𝒆 is particularly noteworthy for the CCAP Synod of Zambia, reflecting the confidence and trust placed in his leadership and commitment to the church's vision and ministry at the General Assembly level.

𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒛𝒊 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒕, 𝒁𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒂 | 17 𝑱𝒖𝒍𝒚 2026

The Government of Zambia has officially commissioned the newly constructed ᴾʰᵃˡᵃᶻᵃ ᴴᵉᵃˡᵗʰ ᴾᵒˢᵗ ⁱⁿ ᴸᵘⁿᵈᵃᶻⁱ ᴰⁱˢᵗʳⁱᶜᵗ, marking a significant step forward in improving access to quality healthcare services for rural communities.

The commissioning ceremony was officiated by Eastern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary, Dr. Lewis Mwape, on behalf of the Provincial Permanent Secretary. The event brought together local leaders, health officials, community members, and other stakeholders to celebrate the opening of the facility.

Constructed with support from the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP), the Phalaza Health Post stands as a testament to the strong partnership between the Church and Government in advancing community development and social service delivery.

Speaking during the event, Dr. Mwape emphasized the importance of strengthening primary healthcare services in rural areas, noting that the new health post will help reduce the long distances residents often travel to access medical care. He also encouraged the community to take ownership of the facility and ensure its proper maintenance for future generations.

The health post is expected to provide essential services, including maternal and child healthcare, disease prevention, health education, and basic medical treatment for residents of Phalaza and surrounding communities.

Community members welcomed the development, expressing gratitude for a facility that will significantly improve access to timely healthcare and contribute to better health outcomes.

The commissioning of Phalaza Health Post reflects the Government’s commitment to expanding healthcare infrastructure while highlighting the important role of the 𝑪𝑪𝑨𝑷 𝑺𝒚𝒏𝒐𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒁𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒂 in supporting initiatives that promote the well-being and development of communities.

The Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) Synod of Zambia has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the Gospel by distributing motorbikes to reverends serving in various parts of the country.

The handover ceremony took place on 18 July 2026 at David McConarghy Congregation under the Lundazi Presbytery, beginning at approximately 10:00 hours.

The initiative is aimed at improving mobility for ministers, particularly those serving in rural and hard-to-reach communities. By providing reliable transportation, the Synod seeks to enhance pastoral outreach, strengthen evangelism efforts, and enable clergy to serve congregations more effectively.

Speaking during the event, Rev. Lloyd Mithi, Deputy General Secretary of the CCAP Synod of Zambia, emphasized the importance of the initiative in supporting the Church’s mission.

“𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒆𝒏𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒉’𝒔 𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌, 𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒓𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒋𝒐𝒓 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆,” said Rev. Mithi.

He noted that the provision of motorbikes demonstrates the Synod’s continued dedication to equipping its ministers with the resources needed to effectively fulfill their spiritual calling and expand the reach of the Gospel.

The event was attended by clergy and church leaders from across the Presbytery, who expressed their appreciation to the Synod leadership for the timely support.

This milestone reflects the CCAP Synod of Zambia’s ongoing commitment to promoting spiritual growth, community transformation, and effective ministry throughout the nation.
