“Joy is not the absence of suffering — it is the presence of Christ in the middle of suffering.

Many today are waiting for circumstances to improve before they rejoice. But biblical joy is deeper than emotion — it is the settled confidence that God is still good, still sovereign, and still working, even in the dark places.

The chains around Paul could not imprison the Gospel, and they could not steal his joy. Why? Because his joy was rooted in Christ, not comfort.

‘Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.’ — Philippians 4:4

What is stealing your joy today? Fear? Disappointment? Pressure? Unanswered prayers?

Bring it to Christ. Temporary comfort fades, but the joy found in Him remains.”
