THREE TRUTHS WE CANNOT ESCAPE

1. The people you love will not always be here.
Parents, spouses, siblings, family and close friends are precious gifts from God. Love them, appreciate them, forgive quickly, and make time for them. One day, death will separate us, and there will be nothing we can do to bring that moment back.

“For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” — James 4:14

2. Every birthday brings us closer to eternity.
We celebrate getting older, but every passing year is also a reminder that our time on earth is getting shorter. The question is not simply, “How long will I live?” but, “Am I ready for eternity?”

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12

3. Money can buy many things, but it cannot buy another day of life.
Many sacrifice their health, family, relationships, and even their walk with God in pursuit of wealth. Yet there may come a day when all the money we accumulated cannot restore what has been lost.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” — Mark 8:36

THE GREATEST TRUTH:
Life is temporary. Eternity is certain. Therefore, love your family while you have them. Use your time wisely. Take care of what God has entrusted to you. And above everything else, make sure you are ready to meet God.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” — Hebrews 9:27

Don't become so busy making a living that you forget to prepare for eternity.

THE GOLDEN RULE

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

"....mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them" Romans 16:17

HAVE YOU EVER ASKED YOURSELF...

Where did the Christian cross come from?
The Greek word translated "cross" is stauros, a word that originally referred to an upright stake or pole.

Roman ex*****on methods varied, and historians debate the exact shape used in Yahusha's ex*****on.

What Scripture does not show is the apostles carrying crosses, wearing crosses, praying to crosses, or making the cross a religious symbol.

SO WHEN DID THE CROSS BECOME CHRISTIANITY’S MOST RECOGNIZED SYMBOL?
Centuries after the Messiah.
Cross-shaped symbols existed in pagan cultures long before Christianity, including among ancient mystery religions. Many Hebrew Roots believers argue that later church traditions absorbed symbols and practices from surrounding pagan cultures after Rome became involved in shaping Christianity.

YAHUAH warned His people:
"Learn not the way of the heathen..." — Jeremiah 10:2

And:
"Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them..." — Deuteronomy 12:30

The first disciples followed Yahusha.
The modern church often follows tradition.

The first disciples preached obedience.
The modern church often preaches symbols.

The first disciples kept the commandments.
The modern church often explains why they don't have to.

The real question is not:
"Do you wear a cross?"
The real question is:
"Do you keep His commandments?"

Because Yahusha never said:
"If you love Me, wear My ex*****on device."
He said:
"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Maybe it is time to stop defending traditions and start examining Scripture.
Maybe it is time to stop following Rome and start following Yahusha.
Maybe it is time to ask whether our faith is built on the commandments of YAHUAH or the traditions of men.

The cross is a symbol.
The commandments are instructions.
Symbols don't prove love.
Obedience does.

RE-THINK MISSIONS

Missions is on life support and it is not because of a lack of money or workers.

The question is:

Can we be more effective?
Can we be more committed to a just cause?
Do we care enough to give up what we love?

70+ years ago missionaries to sub saharan Africa took 3 months to leave their home country (from Arkansas to Port). It took another 6months at sea to Africa. Then another 4 to 6 months to off-load and travel inland to the mission. Spent 2yrs at the mission work and did it all over again heading back home. By the time they reached Arkansas, they had been transiting for 12 months.
Henceforth the traditional 4 year mission field duration. 1year going, 1year coming and 2years on the ground.

We are in the age of AI and fast intercontinental travel. Yet our impact is the same or less than churches 70+ years ago. Why?

"You have lost your first love". Churches have become loyalists of the great commission no longer radicals for global evangelism.
