Dear Youth;
In relationships, we often talk about investing time, effort, and love. But one of the greatest investments you can ever make with your partner is spiritual investment. Itโ€™s choosing to cover him in prayer and choosing to stand beside him in faith.

Pray for him, because you know his battles, his dreams, and the weight he carries.

Pray with him, because unity in prayer brings a kind of strength that no challenge can break.

When you both seek God together, your relationship gains direction, peace, and protection that human effort alone canโ€™t provide.

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.โ€
โ€” Matthew 18:20

"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.โ€
โ€” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

"A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.โ€
โ€” Ecclesiastes 4:12

A relationship grounded in prayer is a relationship grounded in Christ and that kind of foundation never fails.

IF YOU WANT A REBEKAH, BE AN ISAAC FIRST

True, godly love comes when you first become the kind of person you hope to meet. Right character attracts right love, and faithful preparation leads to beautiful partnership. God doesnโ€™t just bring the right person; He shapes you to be the right person first. Walk in integrity, patience, and faith like Isaac, and trust that in His perfect time, He will lead you to the one chosen for you, just as Rebekah was chosen for him. Your future spouse is found not by searching, but by becomingโ€”let your life reflect the love, virtue, and faithfulness you desire to receive.

Marriage is not only about finding someone to loveโ€”it is about choosing someone who will help you grow in faith, character, and your walk with God.

The Bible teaches that marriage is sacred and should be built on spiritual unity.

Amos 3:3 says, โ€œCan two walk together unless they are agreed?โ€
2 Corinthians warns believers not to be unequally yoked, reminding us that spiritual differences can deeply affect a relationship.
Isaac and Rebekah show an example of seeking Godโ€™s guidance in choosing a life partner.

Physical attraction fades with time, but shared faith, respect, loyalty, and prayer keep a marriage strong during trials.

EGW counseled young people to never choose a partner based only on emotions, beauty, or worldly success. She taught that true love is pure, patient, God-centered, and thoughtful about the future. A wise marriage decision can bring peace and spiritual growth, while a careless one may lead to sorrow.

Do not rush into marriage because of loneliness, pressure, or temporary feelings.
Choose someone whose life shows kindness, responsibility, humility, and love for God. The right person will not pull you away from your faith but will encourage you to pray, grow, and remain faithful even in difficult seasons.

Marry someone who will hold your hand during problems, pray with you during storms, and walk with you toward Godโ€”not away from Him.

If we prayed more in secret, we should be able to pray more intelligently in public. These doubtful, hesitating prayers would cease. Keep your wants, your joys, your sorrows, your cares, and your fears before God. You cannot burden Him; you cannot weary Him. He who numbers the hairs of your head is not indifferent to the wants of His children. โ€œThe Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.โ€ James 5:11. His heart of love is touched by our sorrows and even by our utterances of them. Take to Him everything that perplexes the mind. Nothing is too great for Him to bear, for He holds up worlds, He rules over all the affairs of the universe. Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice. There is no chapter in our experience too dark for Him to read; there is no perplexity too difficult for Him to unravel. No calamity can befall the least of His children, no anxiety harass the soul, no joy cheer, no sincere prayer escape the lips, of which our heavenly Father is unobservant, or in which He takes no immediate interest. โ€œHe healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.โ€ Psalm 147:3. The relations between God and each soul are as distinct and full as though there were not another soul upon the earth to share His watchcare, not another soul for whom He gave His beloved Son.
