Did you know that “NO” is also an answer?

The Bible says He is a God who answers prayer, not that He is a God who gives a “Yes” to every prayer. I know your mind may have gone to this scripture:

2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV)
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”

Notice carefully —
the scripture says "God’s promises,"
not that "the response to every prayer is Yes and Amen."

Also, it’s interesting how we often expect to hear a direct “No” from God 😅
Yet many times, the answer comes as a delay.
I believe a delay can, to some extent, be a “No.”
And sometimes, we ask for the right things at the wrong time. In such cases, God may not say “No,” but instead allows a delay.
That delay carries meaning —
almost like a “Selah” (pause, think, reflect).

With time and deeper understanding,
you will realize that it was not time yet.

I Peter 4:3-5 NKJV
[3] For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. [4] In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. [5] They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

[3] For you have already spent enough time doing what unbelievers love to do—living in debauchery, sensuality, partying, drunkenness, wild drinking parties, and the worship of demons. [4] They marvel that you no longer rush to join them in the excesses of their corrupt lifestyles, and so they vilify you. [5] But one day they will have to give an account to the one who is destined to judge the living and the dead.
