What a time to be alive!

Our beloved nation, Zambia, is going through a very difficult and tense political period, pre, during and post election. Too many lives have been lost, families are grieving, and a dark cloud of sorrow seems to have settled over our land.

And now, something many of us once thought was un-Zambian has happened — a precious life has been lost under circumstances that remain unclear. Regardless of our political affiliations, a life lost is a life lost. Behind every headline is a family, loved ones, and people whose lives will never be the same again again.

At a time like this, Zambia needs peace, truth, justice, restraint and healing more than ever. We must refuse to allow political differences to destroy the unity and humanity that have defined us as a people.

Lord, have mercy on Zambia! 🇿🇲🙏

Comfort every grieving family.
Protect innocent lives.
Give wisdom to our leaders.
Let truth prevail.
Let justice prevail.
And above all, let peace reign within our borders.

Zambia shall not be destroyed by division. God preserve our nation! 🇿🇲🙏
