A blessed New day of the New Year - 01.01.26

Isaiah 43:18-19
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

He is doing something new, making a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, offering hope and a fresh start by leaving past troubles behind and embracing His new work.

It's a promise of divine intervention, transformation, and provision, even in desolate situations.

Moving beyond past our failures, sorrows, or even past glories to make room for God's present work.

A special New Year Massage from the outgoing first elder - Elder Joseph Simbule.

Fellow church members at Kalonga SDA, firstly allow me thank The Lord Almighty for a rare blessing accorded me to serve as first elder for the church for the past two years.
It has been an exciting yet challenging journey children of God, without your support our administration would have failed in many areas where we have scored. I am humbled by your support for the last two years.
We have achieved a few successes with your prayers and if you don’t mind I can highlight one or two;

EVANGELISM

1. Kalonga East Branch was successfully established in May, 2024 after the conference led public campaigns.

2. Kalonga North Branch was successfully established in October, 2025 in collaboration with Medical Mission Outreach Ministry.

3. Kalonga West Branch was organized into a company status in April, 2025.

4. Membership grew from 296 to 389 by December, 2025, a percentage growth of 31%.

INFRASTRUCTURE

1. Church steel frame structure was successfully erected by august 2025.

2. Caretakers house was done about 80% to completion in 2024.

3. Church borehole was successfully sunk.

4. Kalonga West Company plot was purchased

Despite economic hardship, members have been involved in Total Member Involvement TMI, and we owe this success to you.
They are lot more other things we would have loved to accomplish but resources and time were not at our side.
For instance; completion of the wall-fence, secure plots for our two branches; visit you our brothers and sisters more often etc.

I know the incoming leadership will strive to do better and complete some of these projects.

With this said, allow me to wish our incoming leaders to be led by Elder Sydon Mutobola as first elder God’s blessings and guidance and success 🤝

At this point, we can only quote (1Samuel 7vs12) “Thus far the Lord has helped us”. We thank the Lord God Almighty for the privilege to serve his church. May the love of God continue to be the foundation of Kalonga SDA church now and forevermore.
