Almighty God, my rock and refuge, hallowed be thy name. I am thankful that I can come to You at any time and You will always be there for me. Give me the strength to be more reliable for my brothers and sisters. I take refuge in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer, Amen.

In this world, you will have enemies. There will be times when you are afraid. But, when you place your faith in God, you will find refuge. Like young birds are protected by their parents, God will offer you the same protection. Call on him when you need protection and he will cover you. You can rest safely with Him like a baby bird would do under the wings of its father. Believing in his truths will provide you with a shield and buckler – more protection against enemies and destruction.

Matthew 7:17-20 (KJV) Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

O Lord, we know that in repenting and turning to you in true faith for forgiveness of our sins, we also naturally turn from sinful grudges against others. We cannot hold the attitude of a penniless, helpless beggar before you and the attitude of a holier-than-thou attitude towards others together. Thus, in the end, those whom you forgive will have forgiven all others. Teach us to let go of grudges now instead of waiting for days, months, or years. Amen.

Lord God, you have a plan for us for life and for each day. Your moral will for us includes both "Thou shalts" and "Thou shalt nots, " and we often fail to do both of these. Help us to be more sensitive to the teaching ministry of your Spirit, relying on him to use the Word he revealed in Scripture to speak to us and guide us every step of our Christian journey. Amen.

To remove the curse of God for breaking his Law from us, Jesus took our guilt upon himself and suffered that curse in our place. God cannot demand "double payment" for sin, so that he cannot justly condemn those whose sins were paid for in full on the cross. That is why there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).

The promise God gives His people here is extremely powerful and incredibly encouraging. If we apply this promise to our own lives, we can take heart. God has our back! No matter what our enemies have in store for us (and believe it: if you serve the cause of Christ, you do have enemies!) God has it covered. He tells us not to fear or be anxious because He holds us in his "righteous right hand." We are protected by His power and His might. Not only will He protect us, but He will punish those who come against us. They will be "shamed" and "dishonored" and will eventually perish. They will come looking to fight us, but they will not find us because God has taken care of the matter. How can we not serve such an awesome and mighty God?

Father, I thank you for giving me a choice. I ask You always to help me choose the truth and not evil ways. Please don't let me take pleasure in another person's pain. Remind me that my job is not to delight in their suffering or in their evil practices but to rejoice in the good decisions that they've made and the truthful decisions that they've made. Help me to be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem. Amen.

We have God, as our Father, who is able to provide for us with ease. This is why we do not panic where troubling situations come. Think of all the troubling situations that have come your way. They are all in the past now. This shows you that God will always settle your situations, no matter what. Your only focus should be trusting in God. Nothing else.
