KEEP SAFE GOD'S SALVATION
GOD REMEMBERS AND KEEPS HIS PROMISES
JUDGES 2:1

The angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bokim. He spoke to the people of Israel there and said:

“I brought you up from Egypt. I led you to the land I promised to give your ancestors. I said, ‘I will never break my agreement with you.’”

LUKE 1:72–75

God said He would give mercy to our ancestors. He remembered His holy promise.

God promised Abraham, our father, that He would free us from the power of our enemies so that we would serve Him without fear.

We will be righteous and holy before God as long as we live.

LUKE 1:54–55

God has helped His people Israel, who serve Him. He gave them His mercy.

God has done what He promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his children forever.

MICAH 7:20

You will be true to the people of Jacob! You will be kind to the people of Abraham. You will do what You promised to our ancestors long ago.

PSALM 105:8–11

He will keep His agreement forever. He will keep His promises always.

He will keep the agreement He made with Abraham. He will keep the promise He made to Isaac.

He made it a law for the people of Jacob. He made it an agreement with Israel to last forever.

The Lord said, “I will give you the land of Canaan. The Promised Land will belong to you.”

EXODUS 6:4

I also made My agreement with them to give them the land of Canaan. They lived in that land, but it was not their own land.

GENESIS 17:7

And I will make an agreement between Me and you and all your descendants from now on. I will be your God and the God of all your descendants.

DEUTERONOMY 29:14–15

But the Lord is not just making this agreement and its promises with you.

You are standing here before the Lord your God today. But He is also making it with those who are not here today.

☆ IN TURN, OBEY GOD
■ WARNING NOT TO DISOBEY GOD
JUDGES 2:2

“But in turn, you must not make an agreement with the people who live in this land. You must destroy their altars. But you did not obey Me. How could you do this?”

EXODUS 34:12

Be careful. Do not make any agreement with the people who live in the land where you are going. It will bring you trouble.

NUMBERS 33:55–56

But if you do not force those people out of the land, they will bring you trouble.

They will be like sharp hooks in your eyes. They will be like thorns in your sides. They will bring trouble to the land where you live.

I will punish you as I had planned to punish them.

DEUTERONOMY 7:2

The Lord your God will hand these nations over to you. You will defeat them.

You must destroy them completely. Do not make a peace treaty with them. Do not show them mercy.

PSALM 106:34–35

The people did not destroy the other nations as the Lord had told them to do.

Instead, they mixed with the other nations, and they learned their customs.

DEUTERONOMY 12:8

You must not do as we are doing here today. All of us are doing only what we think is right.

EZRA 9:13–15

What has happened to us is our own fault. We have done evil things. Our guilt is great.

But You, our God, have punished us less than we deserve. You have left a few of us alive.

We should not again break Your commands by allowing marriages with these wicked people. If we did, You would get angry enough to destroy us. Then none of us would be left alive.

Lord, God of Israel, by Your goodness a few of us are left alive today. We admit that we are guilty. None of us should be allowed to stand before You.

JUDGES 2:3

“I have something to tell you. I will not drive those people out to make room for you. They will be like thorns in your sides. Their gods will be a trap to you.”

PSALM 106:36

They worshiped statues of their gods. That became a trap for them.

EXODUS 23:32–33

Do not make a covenant with them or with their gods.

Do not let them live in your land. If you do, they will cause you to sin against Me.

If you worship their gods, that will certainly be a trap for you.

WHO IS A MURDERER ?

● Is a person who HATES his brother.

- HATE :

- Is a negative feedback, abusive behavior.

- To dislike intensely or greatly.

- To experience a feeling of hatred.

☆ 1 JOHN 3 : 15 --- Everyone who HATES ( works Against : abominates, detests ) his brother [ in Christ ] is [ at heart ] a MURDERER ( by God's standards ); and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding ( persevering ) within ( in ) him.

- HATE ( HATRED ) IS THE CAUSE OF MUREDER. AND ALL KINDS OF EVIL THINGS YOU DO AGAINST YOUR BROTHER.

- But cowards , Unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars ---- thier fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death. --- [ REVELATION 21 : 8 ]

- For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders.--- [ 1 TIMOTHY 1 : 9 ]

- You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. --- [ EPHESIANS 5 : 5 ]

- Envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. --- [ GALATIANS 5 : 21 ]

- Don't you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God ? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homesexuallity, ---- or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people---none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. ----- [ 1 CORINTHIANS 6 : 9 - 10 ]

- If someone says, I love God, but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar ; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see ? --- [ 1 JOHN 4 : 20 ]

- You have heard that our ancestors were told , You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment. ----- But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment ! If you call someone an idiot , you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.---- [ MATTHEW 5 : 21 - 22 ]

- But a person might hate his neighbor. And he might hide and wait for him. He might attack and kill him and then run to one of these cities for safety.---- [ DEUTERONOMY 19 : 11 ]

- Jonathan talked to Saul his father. He said good things about David. Jonathan said, You are the king . Don't do wrong to your servant David. He did nothing wrong to you. What he did has helped you greatly.---- [ 1 SAMUEL 19 : 4 ]

- You must not hate your brother in your heart. If your neighbor does something wrong, tell him about it. If you do not, you will be partly to blame.---- Forget about the wrong things people do to you. You must not try to get even. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. I am the Lord. ----[ LEVITICUS 19 : 17 - 18 ]

☆ PROVERBS 27 : 4 ---- Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous, but who is able to stand before envy ?

- Do not be like Cain who belonged to the Evil One. Cain killed his brother. He killed his brother because THE THINGS CAIN DID WERE EVIL, and the things his brother did were good.---- [ 1 JOHN 3 : 12 ]

- Saul told his son Jonathan and all his servants to kill David. But Jonathan cared very much for David. --- [ 1 SAMUEL 19 : 1 ]

- David's oldest brother Eliab heard David talking with the soldiers. He became angry with David. He asked David, Why did you come here ? Who's taking care of those few sheep of yours in the desert ? I know you are proud. Your attitude is very bad. You came down here just to watch the battle. --- [ 1 SAMUEL 17 : 28 ]

- Later, Cain brought a gift to God. He brought some food from the ground. ---- Abel brought the best parts of his best sheep. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift. --- But God did not accept Cain and his gift. Cain became very angry and looked unhappy. ---- The Lord asked Cain, Why are you angry ? Why do you look so unhappy ? ---- If you do good , I will accept you. But if you do not do good, sin is ready to attack you. Sin wants you. But you must rule over it. ---- [ GENESIS 4 : 3 - 7 ] --- VERSE 8 --- Cain said to his brither Abel, Let's go out into tbe field. So Cain and Abel went into the field. Then Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.

- After that Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing from Isaac. Esau thought to himself, My father will soon die, and I will be sad for him. After that I will kill Jacob.---- [ GENESIS 27 : 41 ]

- Joseph's brothers saw that their father loved Joseph more than he loved them. So they hated their brother and could not speak to him politely.--- [ GENESIS 37 : 4. --- Verses 18 - 20 --- Joseph's brothers saw him coming from far away. Before he reached them, they made a plan to kill him.---- They said to each other , Here comes that dreamer. ----- Let's kill him and throw his body into one of the wells. We can tell our father that a wild animal killed him. Then we will see what will become of his dreams.

- Then the officers said to the king, Jeremiah must be put to death ! He is making the soldiers who are still in the city become discouraged. He is discouraging everyone by the things his is saying. He does not want good to happen to us. He wants to ruin tbe people of Jerusalem. --- [ JEREMIAH 38 : 4 ]

- Pilate knew that the leading priests had given Jesus to him because they were jealous of Jesus.---- [ MARK 15 : 10 ]

- They repay me with evil for the good I did. They lie about me because I try to do good.--- [ PSALM 38 : 20 ]

- Jehoram took control of his father's kingdom. Then he killed all his brothers with a sword. He also killed some of the leaders of Israel. ---- [ 2 CHRONICLES 21 : 4 ]

- It will be bad for them. They have followed the way that Cain went. To make money, they have given themselves to doing the wrong that Balaam did. They have fought against God as Korah did. And like Korah, they will be destroyed.---- [ JUDE 1 : 11 ]

● NOTE : GREAT LESSON FOR YOU. EXAMINE YOURSELF. REMOVE ENVY NOW FOR SIN NOT TO ATTACK YOU. RULE OVER IT NOW !

●● DO GOOD NOW. IF YOU DO NOT DO GOOD , SIN IS READY TO ATTACK YOU.

📖 Sunday Teaching

Theme: I Must Know Where to Put What Is Not Good

Main Scripture: Ephesians 4:31–32 (NIRV)

> "Get rid of all hard feelings, anger and rage. Stop all fighting and lying. Put away every form of hatred. Be kind and tender to one another. Forgive one another, just as God forgave you because of what Christ has done."

Everything in life has its proper place. We put food in the kitchen, clothes in the wardrobe, and rubbish in the bin. In the same way, our hearts should not become a place where anger, bitterness, hatred, pride, and unforgiveness are kept.

The Bible says, "Get rid of" these things. This means we should not allow them to stay in our hearts. If we keep them, they will affect our relationship with God and with other people.

Colossians 3:8 (NIRV) says:

> "But now here are the things you must get rid of. You must put away anger, rage, hatred, evil words and dirty language from your lips."

God is telling us that these things have no place in the life of a believer. They must be removed, not hidden. If we keep anger in our hearts, it will eventually come out in our words and actions. A clean heart produces clean words and a godly life.

Jesus also teaches us about forgiveness.

Matthew 6:14 (NIRV) says:

> "Forgive other people when they sin against you. If you do, your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you."

Forgiveness does not mean what happened was right. It means you choose not to carry bitterness in your heart. Bitterness is a heavy burden that only hurts the person carrying it.

Paul also reminds us in 2 Corinthians 2:10 (NIRV) that when we forgive, we do it in the presence of Christ. Forgiveness closes the door to the enemy and allows God's peace to fill our hearts.

Our words also matter.

Titus 3:2 (NIRV) says:

> "Tell them not to speak evil of anyone. Tell them to be peaceful and friendly. Tell them always to be gentle toward everyone."

If someone speaks badly about you, do not speak badly about them. If someone hates you, do not hate them back. Do not allow another person's wrong actions to change your character. Always choose the way of Christ.

Today, ask yourself, "What am I keeping in my heart that God has told me to put away?" Is it anger? Bitterness? Pride? Unforgiveness? Jealousy? Give it to God today. Your heart was created to be filled with God's love, peace, and truth—not with things that destroy your spiritual life.

May the Lord help us to know where to put what is not good and fill our hearts with what is good and pleasing to Him.

God bless you.
