The life we imagine is always perfect. When you think about accomplishing a project, you donβt see the steps or the challenges you will have to face before getting there. You only see the final result, and you feel excited about making it happen. But the day you truly decide to take action, you realize that there are many obstacles along the way.
It is the same with our childhood. We did not imagine life the way we are living it today. We thought it would be simple, without struggles. Some of us saw ourselves at 30, traveling the world with our child, our wife or husband, or enjoying beautiful moments with friends. And today, when you look at your life, you sometimes feel like it does not even resemble 1% of what you once imagined.
When we were children, we never imagined that our friends could disappoint us. We believed human beings were perfect, that their intentions were always pure. But as we grow, we discover that people are not always what they appear to be. Their βperfectionβ often depends on their interests.
That is why today you go through challenges, rejection, and failure before accomplishing your dreams or your vision. Do not give up. This is real life. Life is not a movie where you already know that you will end up victorious. Life surprises us. There are things that happen to us that we could never have imagined. If someone had told you that you would lose your father, your mother, your little sister, your grandmother, or your grandfather, you would never have believed it. And yet, life surprises usβsometimes pleasantly, sometimes painfully.
That is why you must prepare your heart for everything: disappointments, rejection, abandonment, but also success. You do not know what tomorrow holds. Today, you can go from poor to rich, from prisoner to president, or from president to prisoner. Life can take you anywhere.
