1 Thessalonians 4:13 “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.”

We pray that the Lord, the God of all comfort, will strengthen the family during this difficult time. May He grant you peace, and may Dr. Scott’s soul rest in eternal peace.

We stand with you in prayer.

Yours in Christ,

Bishop Professor Jenipher N.P Mucheleng'anga

Message on African Freedom Day.
From the Council of Charismatic Pentecostal Churches of Zambia.
25th May 2026.

To all Africans and Zambians on African Freedom Day,

Today we commemorate 25th May 1963, when 32 African heads of state signed the charter in Addis Ababa to form the Organisation of African Unity, now the African Union. In Zambia, Africa Freedom Day is a public holiday, marked by wreath-laying at the Freedom Statue in Lusaka in honor of those who fought for liberation.
A. Celebrate the Freedom God Has Given.
Africa’s liberation from colonial rule was a prophetic moment. But true freedom is more than political independence. John 8:36 says, “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” As the Church, we thank God for the freedom to worship, to speak, and to dream as Africans.

We also remember that freedom comes with responsibility. Zambia was among the first to gain independence and has been a leader in African unity movements since. Let us not take that legacy lightly.

B. Confront the Battles of Today.
The struggle continues, not with guns, but with values and vision. We grieve the exploitation of Africa’s mineral wealth, the scourge of drug abuse, human trafficking, and conflicts that destabilize our continent.

We reject politics of division, poverty, fear, and dependency. Zambia must never become a playground for foreign interests while our people struggle. Our prayer is for leaders who protect sovereignty, fight corruption, and deliver real development to communities.

C. Build Africa Through Righteousness and Unity.
Proverbs 11:11“Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted.” As Pentecostal believers, we believe the altar of the nation must be held in prayer and righteousness.

Let Pan-African solidarity become lived practice, not just diplomacy. Let us reject xenophobia and embrace the Ubuntu spirit of collective humanity. The Africa Agenda 2063 belongs to every citizen, business leader, innovator, and youth.

Call to Action for 2026:
1. Pray for Africa and Zambia: That God would raise leaders of integrity and wisdom.
2. Work for Unity: Reject tribalism and xenophobia. We are one Africa.
3. Act for Development: Support local industries, farmers, and youth. Build an economy that benefits every citizen, not just a few.

Africa’s promise is enormous. Its youthful population is rising against greed and lack of opportunity.
Jeremiah 29:7 “Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you.”
Micah 6:8 “Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God.”

To the Church in Zambia and across Africa.
Be bold witnesses of Christ in the workplace, marketplaces, and streets. The Holy Spirit has not lost His power. Let us be the moral conscience of our nations.

Happy African Freedom Day! May God bless Africa, may God bless Zambia, and may we walk together into a future of unity, dignity, and prosperity.

To mention but a few. We have other operation objectives that are prescribed to paid up members.

*HOW CCPCZ OPERATES*
_We don’t run on opinion. We run on order._

**Area** **How We Do It Now** **Why It Matters to You**
**Leadership** Council of Ministers (COM) leads for specified- terms. Full-time roles: President, Operations, Finance + Deputies. Clear accountability. No “one-man show.” *1 Timothy 3:5*
**Decisions** COM votes by weight: President 3, Operations 2, Finance 2, Deputies 1. Major issues decided by majority. Transparent. Every vote counts, but weight matches responsibility.
**Money** 3 Signatories on accounts. Financial reports presented orderly. Asking is fellowship, not suspicion. Investor-level transparency. Your seed is protected. *2 Cor 8:21*
**Disputes** Church conflicts are resolved biblically through CCPCZ first. Courts are last resort. We keep family business in the family. *1 Cor 6:1-7*
**Elections** Every 5 years by secret ballot. Independent Electoral Commission runs it. Apply 6 months early. No lobbying. No drama. Just order.
**Member Care** Social Security Scheme for retirement/death. Funeral support for full paid-up ministers. We honor those who labor. *Galatians 6:10*
**Amendments** Changes must pass District → Provincial → General Conference. 6 months notice required. No surprise rules. Every voice is heard in order.

*BOTTOM LINE FOR MEMBERS*
1. *CCPCZ is your covering, not your competitor.* We exist to make your church stronger.
2. *Power is in the home first, then the house of God.* Our leaders are held to biblical character before gifting. _Titus 1:7_
3. *Ask questions. Check books. Submit disputes.* That’s not rebellion — that’s healthy fellowship.
We’re building a council that outlives us.

*ACTION FOR YOU*
1. Save this post. Teach it to your leaders.
2. If you’re a paid-up member, ask your provincial representative about the Social Security Scheme.
3. Bring disputes to CCPCZ first — we’re faster and cheaper than court.
Note: Very soon we will inform you about the membership criteria, forms, fee and Recommendation fees for those that are registered by government institutions.

*OFFICIAL STATEMENT OF CONDOLENCE*
*From: The Council of Charismatic Pentecostal Churches of Zambia*
*Date: April 10, 2026*

The Council of Charismatic Pentecostal Churches of Zambia receives with deep sorrow the news of the passing of *Mr. Kaweche Kaunda*, son of the First Republican President of Zambia, the late Dr. Kenneth David Kaunda.

On behalf of the Pentecostal and Charismatic community across the nation, we extend our profound condolences to the Kaunda family, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia, the Government, and the people of Zambia.

Mr. Kaweche Kaunda was part of a family that sacrificially served this nation at its birth and through its formative years. The legacy of patriotism, unity, and faith left by our founding father, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, continues to inspire generations. We honor that legacy today as we mourn with the family.

In this moment of national loss, we draw strength from the Holy Scriptures in _2 Corinthians 1:3-4_: _“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles.”_

We pray that the Almighty God will grant the bereaved family divine comfort, peace, and strength. May the soul of Mr. Kaweche Kaunda rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to the nation.

The Church stands with the family in prayer during this solemn period.

"The Council of Charismatic/Pentecostal Churches of Zambia strongly condemns the recent surge in violent attacks on individuals suspected of witchcraft. Even though witchcraft is real, We unequivocally reject any form of violence, intimidation, or harassment against our fellow citizens. Such actions are contrary to the values of love, compassion, and respect for human life taught by Jesus Christ.

We urge all Zambians to reject superstition and embrace peace, understanding, and tolerance. Let us address social issues through dialogue, education, and community building, rather than resorting to violence, its better to report any suspicious people to Law enforcement than taking law in our own hands. We may end up hurting innocent citizens based on suspicions.

We stand in solidarity with the victims and their families, and call on authorities to investigate and bring perpetrators to justice. Together, let's build a Zambia where everyone can live without fear of persecution or harm.
