John 14:21
“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
After Jesus shared the Last Supper with His disciples, He began teaching them important truths before His arrest and crucifixion. The disciples were worried because Jesus told them He would soon leave them. To comfort them, Jesus explained that those who truly love Him will keep His commandments.
Jesus said that obedience is evidence of love for God. He promised that those who love Him and follow His teachings will be loved by the Father, and He will reveal Himself to them in a special way. One of the disciples, Judas (not Judas Iscariot), asked how Jesus would show Himself to them. Jesus explained that He and the Father would dwell with those who love and obey Him.
This teaching reminds us that faith is not only about believing in Jesus but also about living according to His Word each day.
Heavenly Father,we thank You for sending Jesus to teach us the way of life. Help us to love You not only with our words but also through our actions. Give us willing hearts to obey Your commandments and follow Your guidance every day.
When obedience is difficult, strengthen us by Your Holy Spirit. Help us to trust Your wisdom and walk in Your ways. May our lives reflect our love for Jesus, and may we experience Your presence, peace, and blessing. Heavenly Father we pray for our brothers and sisters who are sick ,depressed and some are oppressed by the power of the evil one ,deliver them, use the doctors and nurses as an instrument of your healing power ,and may they experience Your presence in their situations, comfort bereaved families, strengthen the aged ,give us fresh opportunities in our daily lives that we may become more closer to you ,and give us more than we ask of thee,Protect us and our families, guide our decisions, and draw us closer to You each day.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
