We are called to see, to feel, and to take action. God forbid that we pass by, or that we leave the people in our world needy and neglected.

As Adventist youth our 8 million stories are part of something bigger. Global Youth Day brings us together as champions for the cause of Christ. Jesus commanded, “Go, and do likewise.” But we have to choose if we will answer the call.

APPEAL

A SENIOR Clergy in the Seventh Day Adventist Church has appealed to church leaders and members not to fall into temptation of engaging themselves in active politics.

Southern Zambia Union Conference Executive Secretary Dr. Vanny Munyumbwe said local church leaders and members should not stand on the podium and campaign for a preferred candidate for the forth coming elections.
Dr. Munyumbwe said if local church leaders fall into a trap of campaigning for a preferred candidate the situation would create divisions among members of the SDA church.

He was speaking when he presented a paper on Southern Zambia Union Conference Secretariat Strategic Mission Priorities at Choma Central SDA church to church leaders drawn from several districts in Southern Province.

Dr. Munyumbwe said as much as local church leaders have a democratic and constitutional right to vote for a preferred candidate they should not engage in active politics by standing on the stage to campaign for a political party or preferred candidate to avoid creating divisions among church members.

He noted that they is need for effective unity in the church for it to serve the Lord effectively and called on all local church leaders not to allow earthly considerations to take precedence but govern the church well.

Dr. Munyumbwe who was explaining on a strategy of ensuring that local church members should be in compliance with those who stand on the pulpit further noted that the conference should be notified by the local church leaders if the Politicians are visiting any local church.
He clarified that all local churches should be in compliance with the requirements of the registrar of societies by ensuring that church registration is done and acquisition of title deeds for all church buildings.

And Dr. Munyumbwe stated that the Seventh Day Adventist church is on firm ground in promoting intentional tribal integration and effective cross culture.

‘’The Southern Zambia Union Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist church is promoting intentional tribal integration in which Bembas, Tongas and Lozis are treated and look at each other as one. We are matching to Zone let them (Politicans) talk about tribalism out there not in the church,’’ emphasized Dr. Munyumbwe.
He added that all church members must be valued, loved and appreciated in the local churches regardless of tribe as they are precious in the eyes of God.

Dr. Munuymbwe also said each local church in Southern Province should implement a robust witnessing and evangelism campaign that should also help members mature spiritually.
He appealed to several local church leaders who attended the meeting to immediately commence a programme of total member involvement in evangelism by working as a team.

The time is not far distant, when the test will come to every soul......In this time, the gold will be separated from the dross in the church.True godliness will be clearly distinguished from the appearance and tinsel of it.Many a star that we admired for its brilliancy,Will then go out in darkness.Chaff like a cloud will be born away on the wind, even from places where we see only floors of rich wheat. All who assume the ornaments of the sanctuary, but are not clothed with Christ's righteousness, will appear in the shame of their own nakedness.
Christian service p.49 (testimonies vol 5, p.80-81)
Here God reveals great truths needed for God's people today to know the condition of God's people.God says no one will be saved and be taken to heaven without passing through a test,to be tested or proved whether that person will obey God's word or not.The spirit of prophecy says the earth is a testing ground.A time is coming when God will separate the wheat from the tares or the sheep from the wolves. The line of distinction will be drawn be true and faithful servants of God.Those who will not be found with a wedding garment.we will be tried whether we are believers of God's word. God be with us all as we prepare for the Sabbath of Lord our saviour.
