- Paul was in a season of intense pressure misunderstood, opposed, and uncertain about what lay ahead.

- Yet in that very moment, the Lord did not send a message from afar; He stood near him.

- God’s presence was the assurance Paul needed more than answers or escape.

- When life feels heavy or the future unclear, God often meets us the same way not by changing circumstances immediately, but by strengthening our hearts.

- His nearness reminds us that our journey is purposeful and our suffering is not wasted.

- Courage is not the absence of fear, it is the confidence that God is with you.

- God’s presence is your strength. His voice gives you courage to contInue in Jesus Christ's name.

- This particular psalm and many other Scriptures review to us the importance of seeking guidance from the most high God.

- It expresses a heartfelt plea for guidance and mercy from God. The speaker seeks to learn God's paths and truth, acknowledging God's nature as good and upright, who teaches and guides the humble.

- Always remember that our purpose in Christ is found only when we are willing to humble ourselves before the throne of Grace

JOY FULFILLED IN CONTENTMENT

(Philippians 4:4)

Verse:Philippians 4:12(KJV) I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

What is contentment?
- Accepting God's sovereign control over all of life's circumstances.
- (Biblical understanding)Trust in the goodness of God as the sufficient measure of our contentment comes from our hearts and minds being set on Him.(Heb 12:2)

- Oxford;it is a state of being, in which one is satisfied with there current life situation and the state of affairs in one's life as they presently are.

KEY TAKE-AWAYS

- Paul says I've learnt the secret and clearly from the scripture above when we take a closer look at the word learned it actually implies a process.you have to deliberately learn about the life of Christ in you inorder for you to be content.

- Philippians 4:11 I’m not saying this because I need anything, for I have learned how to be content in any circumstance.

- Real Contentment that results into JOY unspeakable hinges on what's happening inside us,not what is around us.

- When issues arise in our lives and we allow discontentment,the first two things that we are going to loose is our peace and Joy.

- whilst Contentment enhances the trust we have in God in every area of our lives the opposite could be factual.

- If we loose our peace and Joy when circumstances turn bad ,the peace and Joy we where experiencing before where not a fruit of the Spirit but simply fruits of good circumstances.

- So to experience total contentment we must begin by refusing to blame our circumstances or the people who make up our circumstances for our lack of contentment.

- For as long as we blame what's going on around us ,we will never see what is happening within us.

- When circumstances rob us of our JOY the wisest thing we can ever do is to take responsibility.see👇 Isaiah 12:3 Therefore with joy will you draw water from the wells of salvation.

THE JOY OF THE LORD (P1)

Scripture:
Philippians 4:4 (Amp) Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! [Ps. 37:4.]

Definition:
Joy, in the Greek word "chara," according to the Bible dictionary, is a state of gladness, a state of rejoicing, great happiness, delight, merriness, the absence of sadness and sorrow.
Collins's dictionary defines it as a deep feeling or condition of happiness or contentment, a source of happiness, an outward show of pleasure and delight to rejoice.

Joy is the fruit of the recreated spirit and also comes from knowing that we are saved.

A closer look:
Rejoicing or Joy is not a suggestion but a command. When we are continually sad, we are disobeying God's word, and it's called unbelief.
Why it is important for us to rejoice is because:
-Our REJOICING is proof that the Holy Spirit is within us.
-When we continually rejoice, we will move easily from the sin of complaining and grumbling against God and the brethren when things do not go well.
-Because of our joy, others would want to know Jesus as well, but if our faces are always dark and sad, who would want to follow and become a Christian?
-Joy is evidence that we are walking in faith. Heb 11:1

Application:
Life can offer us different kinds of challenges; however, we must always remember that our Lord Jesus Christ never promised us a life without challenges. See scripture:
John 16:33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."
-So even in the midst of trials, we can still experience inner joy if we learn how to draw it from the wells of salvation.
-We have a supernatural reservoir where on the inside of us called Jesus Christ, our well of salvation, from which we can draw Joy. See verse:
Isaiah 12:3 Therefore with joy will you draw water from the wells of salvation.
-If you are to experience Joy, put your total trust in God alone, for it is the life we have in Jesus Christ that can produce unfeigned Joy within our hearts.
King David cried unto the Lord for the restoration of his Joy, His salvation. See verse:
Psalms 51:12 (NLT) Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.
