INTRODUCTION
There are many titles people chase—pastor, bishop, prophet, leader.
But heaven is not impressed by titles—it is selective with identity.
God does not call everyone “my servant.”
⸻
1. “MY SERVANT” IS A TITLE OF PROVEN FAITHFULNESS
Numbers 12:7
“…My servant Moses… is faithful…”
Moses was consistent.
* Faithful in private
* Faithful when misunderstood
⸻
2. “MY SERVANT” IS TESTED IN SUFFERING
Job 1:8
“Hast thou considered my servant Job…?”
Notice something here
Being called “my servant” does not exempt you from trouble—
it may actually qualify you for testing.
⸻
3. “MY SERVANT” OBEYS EVEN WHEN IT’S COSTLY
Genesis 26:24
“…for my servant Abraham’s sake.”
Abraham obeyed God when it didn’t make sense:
* Leave your country
* Leave your family
* Sacrifice your son
⸻
4. “MY SERVANT” CARRIES GOD’S PURPOSE, NOT PERSONAL AMBITION
Jeremiah 25:9
“…Nebuchadnezzar… my servant…”
This one disrupts religious thinking.
Nebuchadnezzar wasn’t righteous—
but he was useful.
Truth:
God can use anyone—but He does not own everyone.
There is a difference between:
* being used by God
* and being called “my servant” by God
Don’t settle for being useful.
Pursue being approved.
⸻
5. “MY SERVANT” IS CHOSEN AND UPHELD BY GOD
Isaiah 42:1
“Behold my servant, whom I uphold…”
This points to Christ—but reveals a principle:
If God calls you His servant,
He also sustains you.
⸻
6. “MY SERVANT” HAS A DIFFERENT SPIRIT
Numbers 14:24
“My servant Caleb… had another spirit…”
Caleb saw the same giants—but had a different response.
* Others saw defeat → he saw victory
* Others complained → he believed
⸻
God is not looking for:
* the most talented
* the most connected
* the most visible
He is looking for people He can confidently say:
“That one—MY servant.”
