A WORD FOR YOUR 2026
In Luke chapter 5, Jesus instructed Peter to cast the nets for a catch, but Peter threw in a net. This shows that Peter was not expecting it to work. He obeyed, but reluctantly. Instead of casting nets as Jesus instructed, he cast only one net.
This reluctance came from his experience the previous night, when he toiled all night and caught nothing. His past disappointment affected his present obedience.
As we step into this year, do not be reluctant simply because some things did not work out last year. I want you to know that this is a different year, a different season, and a different atmosphere.
Follow God. Do what He tells you to do. Do not be hesitant. What He tells you, do it. When you obey fully, you will see the manifestation of God’s Word. Your disappointment will turn into an appointment.
That is why the net was so full that it began to break—because one net was carrying fish that were meant to be carried by many nets.
