MISSION STORIES FROM CENTRAL SDA CHURCH CRUSADE

By Pastor Chishimba Joseph Nsama | Mozambique

The evangelistic meetings at Central Seventh-day Adventist Church began with 40 Days of Prayer, laying a strong spiritual foundation for the campaign. Since the opening night, we have continued witnessing God’s hand at work as souls steadily responded to the appeal of the gospel. From the first day until now, new interests have continued being added night after night, with a special highlight on Sabbath when 18 precious souls made decisions for baptism.

One of the most impactful moments of the campaign came during our family life emphasis on Wednesday evening. The message greatly blessed many couples who attended, bringing encouragement, healing, and renewed commitment to Christian homes and relationships.

We have also witnessed remarkable testimonies of God’s power through prayer. Earlier in the week, we were invited to pray for a woman suffering from fibroids. After prayer, she testified that the Lord Jesus Christ touched and healed her. When we later returned to visit the family, her twin sisters shared that they had both received similar dreams connected to the church prayer ministry and the prayer team that visited their home. This experience deeply touched the entire family and strengthened their conviction about the healing and saving power of God, leading them to make decisions for baptism.

Indeed, the Lord continues to move in a mighty way through His Word, through prayer, and through the ministry of His church. We praise God for every soul won and every life transformed during this campaign.

MISSION REPORT FROM NAMPULA CITY, MOZAMBIQUE

By Evangelist Rayford Hachilensa | Nampula City, Mozambique

The evangelistic campaign here in Nampula has truly been a beautiful and faith-building experience. Like every mission field, the work began with a number of challenges, especially at our site which was located near a busy market and motorcycle station with constant noise. In the first few days, the PA system was weak and we even conducted meetings without microphones until God made a way for us to secure them later on.

There were also organizational and transport limitations which affected home visitations and daily invitations, but despite all this, the Lord continued drawing people to the meetings in His own remarkable way. Every night people gathered to listen, including many passersby who would stop and follow the messages with interest.

One touching testimony was of a woman who heard the Sabbath message while bathing and immediately came running to the site to surrender her life to Christ. We also witnessed a couple known for heavy drinking begin attending the meetings faithfully after being convicted by the Word of God. They are now among those preparing for baptism.

Through every challenge, God has remained in control, reminding us that His work is sustained not by human strength but by His grace. What we experienced here was more than just evangelism; it was mission in its truest form. We are now prayerfully expecting not less than 25 souls to go through baptism.

Indeed, we serve a living God who never fails.

DIVINE PROVIDENCE AT THE ANGOCHE CRUSADE

By Pastor Ured Chinga | Angoche, Mozambique

One of the remarkable lessons from the evangelistic campaign in the seaport town of Angoche is that when the mission of soul winning is before us, the Lord often works beyond our expectations and even beyond our usual structures and protocols.

Upon arriving at my preaching site, we discovered that among the brethren there was no one available to translate my messages from English into Portuguese. Humanly speaking, this posed a serious challenge to the progress of the meetings. However, in God’s providence, the local pastor engaged Brother Joseph, a Catholic gentleman, to assist with translation during the campaign.

Night after night, Brother Joseph faithfully stood beside me translating the messages of hope and salvation to the people. As the Word of God continued to go forth, the same man who had come to help as a translator was himself touched by the power of the gospel. By the grace of God, Brother Joseph is now among the precious souls baptized during this campaign. It is truly one of the rare and humbling experiences I have encountered in ministry.

In another touching development, a Catholic family in the community generously provided the PA system and garden chairs that supported our meetings throughout the campaign. Their kindness and willingness to help created an atmosphere in which many people were able to hear the gospel message comfortably and clearly. At the close of the meetings, we had the privilege of praying together with the family in gratitude to God for His leading.

Indeed, this campaign has reminded us that the Lord can use anyone, from any background, to advance His cause and draw souls unto Himself. The work of evangelism continues to teach us that God’s grace reaches far beyond human boundaries.

UPDATE: HEROES OF MOZAMBIQUE SQUARE CRUSADE

By Pastor Boyd Muwowo | Nacala City, Mozambique

Our experience in the mission field of Nacala Alta 1 in Nacala City of Nampula Province, Mozambique, is a challenging one but God has been faithful. Nacala City is a home of Africa's deepest natural port called "Porto de Nacala." The community is largely Islamic, making up to over 90% of the population in a city of close to 300, 000 people. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is the minority among the remaining shared 10% of Christianity and other groupings.

The entire city has only got two organized Seventh-Day Adventist Churches with a total of 10 companies and branches. One of churches is the main Church that has about 200 members and during this "Impact Mozambique" evangelistic campaign the members have been divided into two groups as the Church has two preaching sites.

Nacala Alta 1 site "Praça dos Herois Moçambicanos" (Heros of Mozambique Square) is where I am preaching and on average the attendance has been ranging between 40 - 55 people every evening. The opening session was graced by The Nacala District Commissioner who was very happy to learn the prophecy of Daniel chapter two. The non-Adventists attendance averaging 9 people every evening. It is interesting to note that every evening we have had a new set of non-Adventists guests attending.

Despite the challenging circumstances surrounding organisational and poor attendance rates, and others issues, we are making every effort to reach the people with the gospel message. Other interesting features that we have been offering include; free health checks, free barbershops and free hair saloons including tea with snacks.

We give glory to God for the 25 souls who have so far registered for baptism. We pray for the continued moving of the Holy Spirit in this work as we conclude the evangelistic campaign so that many hearts may be touched and turned to the Lord.

Pray for us and God's work here Nacala City.
