What a great family fellowship we had today, with great preaching from the book of Philippians 2:3-11.
Christ Jesus is our Great pattern or example of Humility.
In humility we put the interest of others before self-interest, and Christ did exactly that when He emptied Himself and took up the form of a servant and was born in our likeness - became like us.
In humility we recognize the authority/leadership and perfectly obey to the point of laying down ourselves for the sake of others. Christ did this when in His human form, humbled Himself by obeying God the Father to the point of death on a cross.
In Humility God exalts the humble, and Christ was exalted and given a name above all names. The exaltation is bestowed on us for and to the glory of God the Father.
Be humble today and be exalted tomorrow for and to the Glory of God.
