THANKSGIVING AND PRAYER
Colossians 1:3 _9
_We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,
_because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people—
_The faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel
_that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.
_You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf,
_and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.
_For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,

Morning Devotion
Date: 21-05-26.
Text: John 16:33
Subject: Peace in the midst of trouble.

These things I have spoken to you that, in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
Brethren, life is full of challenges. You may face disappointment, sickness, betrayal, financial challenges, family problems or spiritual battles etc.

Many people think that following Christ means living without problems. No..
Today, we are reminded that even in difficult times, we can live with courage because Jesus has already overcome the world. This is a very powerful promise of peace and victory.

-We need to understand that peace is not absence of problems, it is the presence of Jesus amidst problems.

-Jesus did not hide reality, he told the disciples that, trials will come to everyone. Therefore, we need to know that, struggles do not mean that God has abandoned you, usually they strengthen faith, build character and draw us closer to God.

-Jesus is commanding us to be of good cheer. We need to remain courageous and hopeful because a believer'd life is not of fear and defeat. Believers are overcomers because Jesus overcame every power of darkness.

I would like to encourage everyone that, when troubles come, do not panic. Stay connected to Christ through prayer, worship and studying his word.
Let us continue encouraging others who are going through difficult times so that we remain united and expand the kingdom of God.

Shall we pray.
Our heavenly father, we come before you as Pilgrim Wesleyan family, with hearts that are full of gratitude, for raising our heads from our pillows. Thank God for the breath of the fresh annointing. Indeed your mercies are new every morning.
Thank you father God for reminding us that you never promised us a trouble free life, but you promised us your presence and peace.
Father, whatever troubles we are today, help us remember that Christ has already overcome the world.
In the unfailing name of Jesus Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit we have prayed. Amen.

DEVOTION:WAITING IN THE UPPER ROOM.
TEXT ACTS:1:4, 14 ,2:1-4
Before the holy ghost fire fell, there was waiting in the upper room. 120 disciples hiding after crucifixion unsure of what would come next."Jesus told them to wait and not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my father promised ".
🔥The upper room wasn't impressive, no platforms ,no programs, no perfect people.
Just ordinary men and women who agreed on one thing:
To wait until what was promised came so they waited together in prayer,in unity, in expectation and not in complaining .
🔥when the day of pentecost came, God filled the waiting with the Holy spirit.
The same people who hide behind locked doors walked out bold, unified and unstoppable having 3000 souls added to their number in one day.
🔥Expansion in the Wesleyan Church can only start where unity and dependence on each other meet.
🔥Greater expansion needs total surrender to God's will not strategy.
We expand by waiting in prayer together and God moves us to a higher level.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we come like those in the upper room, as Wesleyan men and women, ordinary, expectant and needing you.
For give us for rushing ahead in our strength.
Teach us to wait in one accord.
Fill us with your spirit and align our hearts and heal our division and prepare us for what you want us to do next.
Because when we move there is unity for greater expansion as the Wesleyan body of Christ.
In the name of Jesus Christ we pray .AMEN.

Morning Devotion: Sunday 17th May, 2026

Theme: Renewed and United for Greater Expansion

Scripture Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’”
Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
John 4:23-24 “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Reflection: The Day We Gather
Sunday is not just part of the weekend. For the people of God, it’s the beginning. It’s resurrection day. It’s the day the Church rises together to declare: Jesus is alive, and we are His.

David said, “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’” Gladness. Not obligation. Not routine. Gladness, because worship is not about a building, it’s about a Body. It’s about Pilgrim Wesleyan members coming together from different homes, jobs, and struggles to fix our eyes on One Savior.

Hebrews reminds us why: we stir up one another to love and good works. Your worship encourages the sister beside you. Your “Amen” strengthens a brother who almost stayed home. Your presence matters. We don’t come to consume. We come to contribute, our praise, our prayers, our unity.

Jesus said the Father is seeking worshipers. Not performers. Not perfect people. Worshipers in spirit and truth. Spirit means with all your heart, engaged and alive. Truth means grounded in God’s Word, not our feelings. When we worship like that, Heaven touches earth.

Today, we are *Renewed* as we behold Jesus together. We are *United* as one voice, one family, one church. And we are positioned for *Greater Expansion* because a worshiping church is a witnessing church. The world takes notice when God’s people are glad to be in His house.

*For This Sunday, 17th May*
1. *Come glad*: Before you enter the sanctuary, whisper Psalm 122:1 — “I am glad to be in Your house, Lord.”
2. *Come to give*: Ask, “Holy Spirit, who can I encourage today?” Look to stir someone up Hebrews 10:24.
3. *Come hungry*: Expect to meet with God. Lift your hands, open your Bible, worship in spirit and truth — John 4:24.

*Prayer*
Father, we are glad to be in Your house today. Thank You for the privilege of gathering as Pilgrim Wesleyan Church. We do not take this lightly.

Forgive us when worship becomes routine. Awaken us to worship You in spirit and truth. Let Your glory fill this place as we sing, as we pray, as Your Word is preached.

Anoint our pastors with fresh fire. Let every song lift Jesus high. Let every heart be open. Unite us as one body, that the world may know we are Yours. Stir us up to love and do good works as we come from Church.

We declare today: we are Renewed by Your presence, United by Your Spirit, and ready for Greater Expansion of Your Kingdom in our city and beyond.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Morning Devotion: Friday 15th May, 2026

Theme: Renewed and United for Greater Expansion.

Scripture: Psalm 92:1-2 “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your steadfast love in the morning, and Your faithfulness by night.”_
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Reflection: Finishing with Gratitude.
Friday is the gateway. Some of us limp into it exhausted. Some of us rush into it distracted. But God invites us to finish with thanksgiving.

Psalm 92 says it’s good to give thanks, not just polite, but good for your soul. Gratitude shifts your eyes from what’s unfinished to Who is faithful. Look back on this week: the mercies on Monday, the strength on Wednesday, the wisdom on Thursday. He was there. His faithfulness by night means He even carried you while you slept.

Paul raises the bar: give thanks in ALL circumstances. Not for the pain, but in it. Thank God for the difficult meeting that grew your patience. Thank Him for the unanswered prayer that’s teaching you trust. Thank Him for Pilgrim Wesleyan Church, for pastors who labor, for members who serve, for conferences that stretch us.

Jeremiah 29:11 is God’s Friday promise. You may not see next week clearly, but He does. His plans are for welfare, not evil. For a future. For hope. For *Greater Expansion* that starts with a grateful heart today.

We are *Renewed* when thanksgiving replaces complaining. We are *United* when we testify together, “The Lord has been good.” And God trusts grateful people with more territory.

*For This Friday, 15th May*
1. *List 3 “Friday Thank-Yous”*: Write down 3 specific ways God was faithful Mon–Thu.
2. *Declare His future*: Speak Jeremiah 29:11 over one area of uncertainty for next week.
3. *Thank a leader*: Send a message to a Wesleyan Pastor or ministry leader: “Thank you for your labor. 1 Thess 5:18”

*Prayer*
Lord, it is good to give You thanks at the end of this week. We declare Your steadfast love over Monday, Your strength over Wednesday, Your wisdom over Thursday, and Your faithfulness over today.

Forgive us for grumbling. We choose to give thanks in all circumstances, because this is Your will for us.

Thank You for every Pilgrim Wesleyan member You sustained. Thank You for our pastors, bless their families. Thank You for the conferences ahead, we believe your plans for us are good.

As we enter the weekend, renew us Sunday. Keep us united in gratitude. Prepare us for greater expansion in the days ahead.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Monday, 11th May, 2026
Family Let us pray.

Dear Lord,
We thank You for the opportunity to live and love today [Psalm 118:24]. Your love makes us strong.

As we begin this new week, strengthen us in You and in the power of Your might. Cause every Pilgrim Wesleyan member to be fruitful in every good work this week [John 15:5].

Today we lift up our Wesleyan Pastors before You. Continue to guide them by Your Spirit. Bless their households, anoint their preaching, and shepherd them as they shepherd us [1 Peter 5:2]. Teach us to support their work as unto You, Lord [Colossians 3:23], and to esteem them highly in love for their labor.

We stand together, declaring that we are *Renewed and United for Greater Expansion*, for those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength [Isaiah 40:31], and behold, how good it is when we dwell together in unity.

In Jesus Christ’s name we pray, Amen.

Pilgrim Wesleyan Church Presiding Bishop Juden Siachitema sharing his message to PWC community and beyond 🙏
God bless you ALL as you listen to this 🙏

06/05/2026

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You as one body, one family, joined and held together by every part You have given us. Lord, make us faithful members, not spectators.

Teach us to attend church programs and encourage one another. Move us to tell others about the Good News and to share what You have done in our lives. Stir us to pray and intercede for our church, our leaders, our community, and for those who do not yet know You. Lead us to give tithes and offerings with cheerful hearts, and to support the house we call home.

Father, call us to live a life of holiness in all we say and do. Use our gifts to serve one another as faithful stewards of Your grace. Help us submit to spiritual leadership and honor those You have placed over us. Teach us to build unity and love, showing brotherly affection and outdoing one another in honor. Make us disciples who encourage and build up, lifting one another in faith.

Lord Jesus, make us faithful members of Your body. Heal the weary, strengthen the weak, and draw the lost into Your kingdom. Let our lives reflect Your glory in word and deed.

We surrender our plans, our gifts, and our time to You. Build us into a church that grows, serves, and loves as You intended.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today as the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church family. We thank You for being the God of the Exodus, the God who sees, hears, and delivers. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Heavenly Father, You turned the Nile to blood because Egypt trusted it more than You. Today we surrender every “Nile” in our lives. Whether it is our jobs, money, relationships, or strength, we choose You first. Strike what must be broken so that You may build what must stand.

Heavenly Father, You sent frogs until Egypt was overwhelmed. Forgive us for the hidden idols we have welcomed. Remove every idol from our hearts, homes, and thoughts. Cleanse us, Lord, and restore pure worship.

Heavenly Father, when the magicians could not copy the lice, they recognized Your power. We ask for Your finger to touch every impossible situation in our church and in our homes. Let every false power bow today.

Heavenly Father, You made a distinction between Egypt and Goshen. We decree Goshen over every family in Pilgrim Wesleyan Church. What hits the world will not hit us.

Heavenly Father, You spared the livestock of Israel while Egypt’s was destroyed. We ask for Your provision over this church family. Meet all our needs according to Your riches.

Heavenly Father, Jesus is our Passover Lamb, and we apply His blood over every doorpost of our homes. Let no plague, no sickness, no attack, no destruction come near us. We are covered. We are redeemed.

Heavenly Father, You said not a hoof is to be left behind. We declare today that no family member, no destiny, no finance, no health will be left in Egypt. We come out empowered, not empty.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for mercy before judgment. We will not harden our hearts. We choose obedience. We choose the blood. We choose freedom.

Heavenly Father, we declare over Pilgrim Wesleyan Church: we are RENEWED AND UNITED FOR GREATER EXPANSION. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
