Another Week of Emphasis is Loading!
This time, it's the bloodlife of the Church, Stewardship!

Stewardship is the LIFESTYLE of one who has a living RELATIONSHIP with Jesus Christ, accepts His LORDSHIP, walking in PARTNERSHIP with GOD, and acting as His agent to MANAGE His affairs on earth.

The upcoming series would deal with the "Halal & Haram", permitted & forbidden practices that have been misconstrued in stewardship. They are NOT misconceptions p***e, but the devil's ploy to misrepresent God in stewardship. We shall respond to questions such as:

🤭If heaven is so rich, why are Christians so poor?
🤭Is poverty a sign of holiness?
🙆‍♀️You have been tithing, sowing the seed and fasting... So why are you still broke?
🤪Why does a rich God have poor children? Is He truly our Father or something is wrong somewhere?
👍Is there a real reward in giving or church leaders are up to something sinister?

These and many more questions would be answered in the prolific week ahead. Make a date with us!

Church Growth and Sermons on the Pulpit.

Dear leaders and pastors,
Apart from leadership as previously discussed, another big key to Church Growth is the PULPIT/ DESK:

A church may have good chairs, nice music, kind ushers and all, but if the preaching is not clear, strong, and helpful, many people will still stay away. Why?

Because they come to hear from God. They want hope. Truth. Help. They want to know what God is saying about their life, family, pain and future.

So when we preach, we are not just filling time in service. We are feeding people. And if the food is not good, people may stop coming back. Clear sermons are needed that bring back people.

Why Clear Preaching Win Hearts

Many leaders think powerful preaching means using big words, shouting loud or speaking for a long time. But that is NOT always true. A sermon can be loud and still be empty, long and still be confusing, deep and still help nobody.

Clear preaching is what wins hearts. When people understand the message, they receive it. When they receive it, they act on it. When they act on it, then their life begin to change. When life begins to change, they want to come back. It is that simple.

Think of Jesus as a preacher. He spoke in a clear way. He used stories about seeds, sheep, lamps, coins, and fathers with sons. He wanted them to see truth clearly. That is the lesson to all of us preachers. Be clear!

Do not preach to impressive people. Preach to help people. A child drinks water better from a clean cup. In the same way, people receive truth better when it is served clearly.

So we can ask ourselves:
🙆‍♀️Can people understand me?
🙆‍♀️Are my messages simple enough to remember?
🙆‍♀️Can a first-time visitor follow what I am saying?
If the answer is NO, then some change is needed.

I am not a homiletician nor am I an expert in this area, but what I know is that church growth happens better with simple preaching that has practical piety and application.

What should we stop doing on the Pulpit for Church Growth to be effective? This is a discussion of another day. Very Important!!
