22ND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME – YEAR II

🕊 FIRST READING: 1 Corinthians 3:1–9
Saint Paul reminds us to grow in faith and avoid jealousy and division. We may plant and water, but God is the one who gives the growth.

🎵 RESPONSORIAL PSALM: Psalm 33
R/. Blessed the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His heritage.

✝️ GOSPEL: Luke 4:38–44
Jesus heals Simon's mother-in-law and many others who are sick. He then goes to a quiet place to pray and continues proclaiming the Good News of God's Kingdom.

🙏 REFLECTION:
Let us trust God with our growth and remember that we are all called to serve. Like Jesus, may we care for those in need, make time for prayer, and share God's love with others.

🙏 PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, help us grow in faith and love. Heal what is broken in us, remove jealousy and division from our hearts, and guide us to serve others with humility. May our lives help Your Kingdom grow. Amen. 🙏

🕊 FIRST READING: 1 Corinthians 2:10b–16
Saint Paul reminds us that the Holy Spirit helps us understand the things of God. We are called to seek God's wisdom rather than relying only on human understanding.

🎵 RESPONSORIAL PSALM: Psalm 145
R/. The Lord is just in all His ways and holy in all His works.

✝️ GOSPEL: Luke 4:31–37
Jesus teaches with authority and commands an unclean spirit to leave a man. The people are amazed at His authority and power.

🙏 REFLECTION:
Let us open our hearts to the Holy Spirit and seek God's wisdom. When we face fear, confusion, or difficulties, let us remember that Jesus has the authority to bring freedom, healing, and peace.

🙏 PRAYER:
Let's us pray In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen .

Lord Jesus, fill us with Your Holy Spirit and give us wisdom to understand Your ways. With Your authority, free us from all that keeps us away from You. Strengthen our faith and guide our thoughts, words, and actions today. May we always trust in Your power and goodness. Amen. 🙏

Today, the youths of Holy Trinity Parish came together for a Car Wash Sunday, working hand in hand with joyful hearts and a spirit of unity. 🚘🧽💦 After the hard work, the youths shared a wonderful fellowship meal, enjoying food, laughter and quality time together. 🍽️🤗

📖 SECOND READING: Romans 12:1-2
Saint Paul calls us to offer our lives to God and not to be conformed to the ways of this world, but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds.

✝️ GOSPEL: Matthew 16:21-27
Jesus teaches that whoever wishes to follow Him must deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Him.

🙏 REFLECTION:
Following Jesus is not always easy, but it is the path to true life. Let us carry our crosses with faith, remain close to Christ, and allow God to transform our hearts each day.

Saint Paul reminds us that the message of the Cross is the power and wisdom of God. What may seem foolish to the world is greater than all human wisdom.

R/. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

✝️ GOSPEL: Matthew 25:1–13
Jesus tells the Parable of the Ten Virgins, teaching us to always be spiritually prepared and to keep the light of our faith burning.

Let us remain faithful, wise, and always ready for the Lord. May our faith never grow weak, but may we continue to keep our lamps burning through prayer, love, and good works.
